Yanukovich asks Russia to prevent unstable Ukraine 'from further deteriorating'

Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin revealed at a UN Security Council meeting on Monday a March 1 letter from Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich to Russian President Vladimir Putin that asked for armed forces assistance in maintaining law and order in Ukraine.
