Storm
Emily to hit Ireland this week
The
weather is going to take a turn for the worst in Northern Ireland
later this week, as Storm Emily is set to arrive

Gales
of up to 70mph a may hit Northern Ireland on Thursday, with the
potential to cause serious damage.
While
Northern Ireland will be affected by the storm, Northern England and
Scotland will get the worst weather, with gales of around 100mph
expected.
The
storm is named after 'Wuthering Heights' author Emily Bronte, who
died 165 years ago on Thursday, when the storm is set to touch down.
Her most famous novel also features constantly bad weather.
Before
the storm arrives, the weather will be very varied, and will go from
sunny but cold weather to heavy showers.
The
only warning Met Eireann have in place so far, is a yellow marine
warning for today, with southwest to west winds reaching force 6 or 7
for a time today on all coasts of Ireland.
On
Thursday, Eastern parts in Ireland is likely to have sunny weather,
with showers confined to the North and West of Ireland.
Friday
is set to start off dry and bright, but rain and wind will spread
around the country in the afternoon.
