Trans-Pacific "Partnership"

TPP End of Democracy?

The Alyona Show, RT

All this week, there have been secretive negotiations going on in San Diego over the TPP, the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. It could be the biggest trade agreement in US history, and it also, leaves room for expansion.

o far, the countries included are the US, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Vietnam, Mexico and Canada. The problem is, we know very little about it. The Obama administration has resisted transparency in these negotiations, to the point where even Senator Ron Wyden, chair of the Senate Trade Committee, has been denied access to a draft of the 26 chapter treaty.

What we do know, has come out in leaks. Alyona discusses what we do know with Josh Eidelson, a contributing writer at Salon.
