President Barack Obama plans to sign legislation that would levy
sanctions against Venezuelan government officials who Washington says
were involved in a crackdown on anti-government protesters earlier
this year, Reuters reported, citing White House spokesman Josh
Earnest. On Wednesday, the House of Representatives approved
legislation which aims to deny visas and freeze the assets of
officials connected to the suppression of anti-government protests in
Venezuela
