David
MacArthur of Christchurch has been regularly measuring radiation
levels in Christchurch, and publishes this information HERE
It
has to be pointed out that New Zealand does NOT have any nuclear
power or other endogenous souce of nuclear radiation, so what the
source of a radiation spike of this nature is open to discussion.

Information
1.0
sv/h is = to 1000000.00 mcsv/h and 1.0 sv/h is = to 1000 msv/h. -if
radiation exceeds 0.40mcSv/h then you would need to look for the
reasons of this exceeding normal reading- if it exceeds 1.20 mcSv/h

In Auckland my readings have varied from as low as .06msv/hr to .011ms/hr, tracking around the .09msv/hr.
ReplyDeleteThis level of 'variance' is a little unusual for my area but not as yet statistically significant but will remain alert. Note lots of solar activity lately coinciding with the full moon. I like to here ant other more informed opinion.
