HOMS,
Syria – It has been confirmed that Iranians have been murdered and
injured by Israel’s overnight airstrike on Syria’s T-4 military
airbase in eastern Syria.
A
total of two Iranian soldiers and another seven were injured by the
three missiles that were not intercepted and launched by Israeli
warplanes from Lebanese airspace, the Russian Federal News Agency
reported.
Claiming
to quote journalists on the ground, the Russian Federal News Agency
has reported that two Iranian servicemen were killed and another 7
injured has a result of three missiles striking the Syrian airbase.
The
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claims that 14 military personnel
were killed in the Israel missile strike that hit the airbase in the
desert regions of Homs countryside.
MOSCOW,
Russia – Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday
that Russian authorities and their Israeli counterparts discussed
Israel’s strikes on the Syrian T-4 military airbase through
respective channels.
“Certainly,
this is a source of our concern. Contacts with the Israeli side are
held via respective channels,” Peskov said,
Peskov
then went onto say that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not
discussed this issue with anyone from Israel.
“Putin
hasn’t held contacts with [our] Israeli colleagues,” Peskov said.
This comes as it was claimed that Israel had forewarned Washington that it was going to conduct airstrikes but not to Moscow directly
