SOME REFLECTIONS ON THE SITUATION IN GAZA

I started having some thoughts about the situation in Gaza. I got to thinking that Hamas will keep Israel busy shooting down Hamas's relatively insignificant missiles and by so doing deplete their own Iron Dome missiles.  There are already some signs that that might be happening.

MIght a tactic be for Hezbollah and Iran to hold back with the powerful stuff until Israel is sufficiently weakened.

To confirm my thoughts, Hal Turner came up with his own thoughts....

The United States of America is now in severe danger.  We're actually unable to fill all the missile tubes in our own Navy because we're so short on them; and we cannot make more, fast enough to defend our own land.

Think of the last two World Wars. There was no known start date like a football game. The start of both was only known in hindsight.

Hamas now have to go 'all in' as they know that they face annihilation by the IDF. Hezbollah (Iran) no doubt will do the same knowing this is their best chance ever in achieving their aim of wiping out Israel.

Rumours abound that Hezbollah will declare war on Friday. Yemen have already done so. How long before Jordan, Syria and Egypt join the mess? Maybe even Turkey?

USA are of course 'joined at the hip' with Israel. UK too. So both nations will be dragged in to protect Israel which will lead to Russia, China and others (Pakistan, Iran etc...) getting involved.

And China will surely use the crisis to open op a Pacific front by invading Taiwan and maybe the Phillipines too. The USA are going to be very stretched to cover all three fronts effectively - Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Arab and China/Taiwan.

Meanwhile, there are other flashpoints that don't even get any coverage anymore but are just as dangerous - Serbia/Kosovo, Armenia/Azerbaijan and North/South Korea to name just three that are either at war, or on the verge of one.

Undoubtedly we are already in WW3.

It's just going to get worse.

As it gets worse, a cold, hard reality is going to become crystal clear: We don't have enough missiles to defend ourselves, and we CANNOT make more, fast enough.

A Reader of this website, and listener to my radio show, has shared the following:

  1. The facility that produces standard missiles like the sm2 sm3 and sm6 that are used for counter ballistic missile defense was not too far from my old house and I know people who worked there. The "Trump Military Buildup" didn't even get the navy back to a point where they had enough missiles to fill every single Vertical Launch System (VLS) cell in our entire combat-coded fleet at the same time.

As of the last couple years, that has meant that as ships come in off a patrol at sea their missiles are unloaded and transferred to the ships about to head out because there's not enough missiles to just leave the ships loaded.

    3. That production plant run by Northrop can either produce ATACM's OR standard missiles in a given multi-month production run, but NOT BOTH!
WHY? Because there's only enough autoclaves to run land attack or naval missile production because both lines share the same autoclaves.

  2. Now idk about you but I seem to remember another of our "allies" burning through a whole fuck ton of our land attack missiles requiring us to buy more for the last two years...think: Ukraine.

    4. The Northrop facility has had multiple Chinese spy arrests and 2 separate sabotage incidents all of which has stopped production and caused delays each time in the last 2 years.

    5. When Trump entered office and "started rebuilding our war stocks" we were so low on key missiles like standards sm2, sm3, sm6,  that the navy wasn't even going to be able to do test and practice fires had Trump not forced through the money to pay for more production because the navy was below it's congressional and legally mandated minimum war stock inventory levels.

    6. What this means is Trump got us back up to barely legal bare minimum levels before COVID hit.  Then when COVID hit, it screwed up production again.

What the 6 points above point you to is the understanding that, yes those 50 warships presently in the Mediterranean Sea probably sailed to the Middle East with full missile loads, but every time they're forced to expend them there's an extremely good chance we don't actually have more to replace them. Especially not without robbing them from other theaters opening us up to vulnerability elsewhere in the world.

Between Ukraine and everyone in the Middle East screaming for us to send them more PATRIOT missiles, etc., which we were already so desperately short on that we pushed off Taiwan's Order out to 2028 already... What do you think we actually have left here at home and or at any other hot spots globally?

Put simply, every time we expend missiles knocking down Houthi missiles fired from Yemen, or send more missile batteries to the Middle East we come closer and closer to the Continental US being completely undefended.

If you just zoom out and look at this entire situation from the 30,000 foot view, it's blindingly obvious that the BRICS alliance (including several nations we're sending patriot batteries to in the ME) are very deliberately spreading us thin and getting us to expose our soft underbelly.

This is not a good situation and it could get a whole bunch worse very quickly.      We are perilously close to being UNABLE to defend our own land.

News round-up - 7 March, 2021

High-ranking Russian military leaders are on the record saying that there is no way for their military to determine if an incoming ballistic missile is in fact fitted with a nuclear or conventional warhead.

Last week Russian military leaders told the nation's official military newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star) that any ballistic missile launched at its territory would be perceived as a nuclear attack and that Russia would retaliate in kind with nuclear weapons.

Two senior officers of the Russian military's General Staff, Major General Andrei Sterlin and Colonel Alexander Khryapin, told the Russian military newspaper that there is no way for their military to determine if an incoming ballistic missile is in fact fitted with a nuclear or conventional warhead. As a result, the decision has been made to see all incoming missiles as nuclear and to consider them to be the beginning of a nuclear strike.

"Any attacking missile will be perceived as carrying a nuclear warhead," the Krasnaya Zvezda article reported. "The information about the missile launch will be automatically relayed to the Russian military-political leadership, which will determine the scope of retaliatory action by nuclear forces depending on the evolving situation."

The contrast below between the security on the southern border and military presence in Washington, D.C., tells you all you need to know about today’s Democratic Party in charge.

While a migrant crisis mounts on the southern border, aided by President Joe Biden’s day-one executive order bringing a halt to construction of the border wall, Washington politicians have surrounded themselves with miles of fencing to provide protection not afforded to the American people.

An estimated 25,000 troops descended on Washington in the immediate aftermath of the Capitol riots in early January, bringing more armed military forces to lock down the capital city than remain in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. As of this month, 6,000 troops remain an occupying force, supported by fencing around the Capitol that still stands at the order of Democratic politicians hellbent on exploiting the eruption of political violence at the start of the new year.

Meanwhile, no such security measures were offered to the business owners down the street when their livelihoods were blown up repeatedly in the name of social justice during the summer Black Lives Matter riots.

The Democrats and their allies in a complicit media either endorsed, downplayed, or ignored the repeated outbreaks of widespread political violence that gripped the nation’s cities all last year before then capitalizing on the January riot that targeted Congress this year, which was roundly condemned by Republicans and conservatives alike. Some are still whitewashing the wave of deadly left-wing extremism that terrorized cities for months, claiming there was no violence. The property damage in major cities left by just two weeks of the George Floyd riots, however, was 66 times more devastating than the estimated destruction in the Capitol.

The National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, or NCSAI, issued a report on Monday, March 1, 2021, which offers a stark warning to the leadership of the United States. According to the thorough 756-page report, China could likely soon replace the U.S. as the world’s leader in artificial intelligence, or AI, and that shift will have significant ramifications for the U.S. military at home and abroad. The full text of the report is listed on the NCSAI website.

Joe Biden Makes History!

** Joe Biden is now the first US President in 100 years NOT to hold a press conference in his first 30 days in office.
He can’t.

** Joe Biden is the first US President NOT to hold a State of the Union Address or Joint Session of Congress Address in almost 100 years.

** And Joe Biden is the first US President to COMPLETELY OPEN the US Southern border to illegal aliens, even sick ones, during a pandemic.

And that is just his 40 days in office!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment of the state’s National Guard and State Troopers to respond to the growing border crisis.

Governor Abbott announced Operation Lone Star “to combat the smuggling of people and drugs into Texas” on Saturday. The operation will integrate the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) with the National Guard, Abbott said. He is ordering the deployment of air, ground, marine, and tactical border security assets to high threat areas.

“The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration,” the governor said in a written statement Saturday evening. “Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans. We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis.”

The Epoch Times has reached out to the Department of Defense regarding the post’s claims.

The Telegram channel post also claimed that terror factions associated with Iran are growing ever stronger and gaining more support, while it called on U.S. forces to withdraw from not only Iraq, but the Middle East entirely.

The group also appeared to threaten Israel, referring to it as the “Zionist enemy,” saying “I will summarize for you in words only the horror of the south, which is stronger than before, and we have thousands of men like Imad Mughniyeh.” Mughniyeh is believed to have been the Iran-aligned Hezbollah chief of staff in Lebanon.

“Do not think that you and the Americans, by killing Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, will survive the torment of the resistance,” the post added, referring to the Iranian commander and the Iraqi militia commander who were killed in an airstrike last year. “We lie in wait for you evil (sic) and the next thing is worse.”

Last week, President Joe Biden warned that Iran cannot act with impunity and warned the state to “be careful” when asked what message he was sending the country with the U.S. airstrikes in Syria.

“You can’t act with impunity. Be careful,” Biden told reporters in Texas.

The United States carried out airstrikes authorized by Biden against facilities belonging to Iranian-backed militia in eastern Syria on Thursday, in response to rocket attacks against U.S. targets in Iraq.

Tehran has denied being behind recent attacks, whether those in Iraq, against shipping in the Gulf, or on Saudi installations by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis.

On Wednesday, rockets were again fired at an Iraqi base that holds U.S. troops, according to U.S. and Iraqi officials. The Pentagon stated the missile defense system at the Al Asad airbase “engaged in defense of our forces” before adding: “We extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the individual who died.”

Nancy Pelosi’s New Legislation Is An Attempt to Turn Us Into a One-Party State

Israel Updating Plans To Attack Iran

Israel Updating Plans To Attack Iran, Ready To 'Act Independently'

Authored by Dave DeCamp via AntiWar.com,

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz told Fox News in an interview published Friday that the Israeli military is updating its plans to strike Iran’s nuclear program and is prepared to act independently.

Gantz falsely portrayed Iran’s recent steps to advance its civilian nuclear program as the Islamic Republic racing to develop a bomb, something he said Israel would stop. "If the world stops them before, it’s very much good. But if not, we must stand independently and we must defend ourselves by ourselves," he said.

File image of 2018 Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, via Reuters.

Gantz cited nuclear activity that Iran is willing to quickly reverse if the US lifts sanctions and returns to the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA. But Gantz, like most Israeli officials, is opposed to a revival of the agreement.

Israeli officials have been making veiled threats about attacking Iran if President Biden rejoins the JCPOA. Other incidents in the region that are being blamed on Iran are causing some to fear that Israel might be preparing an attack sooner rather than later.

Without providing evidence for the claim, Israel blamed Iran for an explosion on an Israeli-owned cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman that happened last week. No crew members were hurt, and the ship was back at sea a few days after the incident. When asked about possible retaliation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was "striking at" Iran throughout the region.

"This is a target map. Each one of them has been checked legally, operationally, intelligence-wise and we are ready to fight," Gantz told the FOX correspondent while handing him a classified map.

On Wednesday, Israel blamed Iran for another incident in the region. Israeli Environmental Protection Minister Gila Gamliel claimed Iran was responsible for a large oil spill that hit Israel last month.

Surprisingly, Israeli military and intelligence officials doubted Gamliel’s claim, as did other officials in the Environmental Protection Ministry.

Regardless of whether Iran was responsible or not, Israel could be planning a strike against the Islamic Republic over the two incidents. Sources told Business Insider that the Biden administration and its European allies are fearing that Israel is planning a "substantial" attack on Iran.

Iranian terrorist cells in Washington DC?

The opinions may not be my own. I still harbour considerable sympathy for Iran in the face of US aggression.

I am posting this because it is right across right-wing media.

Iranian Terrorists Claim to Have Active Cells in Washington, D.C.

‘Resistance cells are rooted even in America and its capital’

Washington Free Beacon

4 March, 2021

Iranian militia groups claim to have active cells of operatives stationed in Washington, D.C., and other U.S. cities, according to chatter in online forums used by these groups.

Kawtheryoon Electronic Team, a Telegram network used by Iranian militia groups and supporters, claimed in a recent posting that Iranian "resistance cells are rooted even in America and its capital," according to a copy of the English-language posting captured by the Middle East Media Research Institute, which tracks radical groups.

(Note: the link does not lead to any specific evidence. I cannot find anything by such a group - SMR)

The group additionally claimed that terror factions associated with Iran are growing stronger and attracting more support than ever before. The group demanded the United States withdraw all of its troops from Iraq and the Middle East. The post included a picture of caskets containing U.S. soldiers.

The threat comes as the Biden administration seeks to directly engage Iran in pursuit of inking a revamped nuclear accord. Despite these diplomatic overtures, Iran has continued to sponsor terrorism. While the State Department has called on Iran to cease its terror operations, Tehran shows no signs of backing down from its active operations in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and other Middle Eastern hotspots. It also has continued to support strikes on U.S. personnel stationed in Iraq, and was likely behind a Wednesday rocket attack on an Iraqi air base that houses American troops.

The militant group also threatened Israel and promised reprisals for the U.S. attack on Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a drone strike authorized by former president Donald Trump.

US launches airstrike against Iranian-backed forces in Syria

US launches airstrike against Iranian-backed forces in Syria

US strike in Syria at Biden's orders destroys 'multiple facilities' of 'Iranian-backed militia' - Pentagon

RT,
25 February, 2021

The US has targeted Iran-backed militia in Syria, the Pentagon confirmed, adding that the airstrikes were approved by US President Joe Biden and intended as reprisal for rocket attacks on US bases in Iraq.

“At President Biden’s direction US military forces earlier this evening conducted airstrikes against infrastructure utilized by Iranian backed militant groups in eastern Syria,” the Pentagon’s spokesman John Kirby said in a statement. The attack took place around 6 pm Eastern time on Thursday.

Kirby echoed earlier media reports that the bombing of the Syrian territory was in retaliation to “recent attacks against American and coalition personnel in Iraq.” He further argued that the raids were aimed at defusing the tensions in the Middle East.

At the same time, we have acted in a deliberate manner that aims to deescalate the overall situation in both Eastern Syria and Iraq.

Kirby claimed that the strikes inflicted serious damage on the infrastructure of “a number of Iranian backed militant groups including Kait’ib Hezbollah and Kait’ib Sayyid al Shuhad,” noting that “multiple facilities” were destroyed.

Unconfirmed reports from Syria spoke of explosions near Al-Bukamal, a town in the Deir-ez-Zor province near the border with Iraq.

The reported airstrikes come after a series of rocket attacks on the Green Zone in Baghdad, the Balad Air Base and the Erbil International Airport in Iraq over the past two weeks. No group has claimed responsibility and the Pentagon has not officially blamed anyone.

This is not the first time the US has blamed Iran for attacks on American troops and contractors in neighboring Iraq. After one contractor died, the Trump administration targeted the Kataib Hezbollah militia and other Shia Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), which culminated in the drone assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, in January 2020.

Biden himself led the chorus of Democrats who denounced President Donald Trump’s move at the time, saying he “tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) had said the Soleimani strike risked “provoking further dangerous escalation of violence” and was undertaken without congressional authorization.

US launches airstrikes in Syria

Hal Turner,

25 February, 2021

The U.S. military carried out an airstrike against what is being called an Iranian-backed militia stronghold in Syria Thursday, a senior official reveals to the Hal Turner Show.

In the first known military action by (Illegitimate) President Biden, multiple facilities were struck in the air attack that targeted Iraqi border-based Shia militia groups, Kata’ib Hezbollah and Kata’ib Sayyid al Shuhada.

Both forces "are suspected" of having received funding and military support from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

The senior security official said the strike was a defensive strategy, intended to halt and deter future rocket attacks by the militia group recently seen in Iraq.

The Defense Department confirms the strikes.

Initially, reports began emanating from inside Syria of explosions around Al-Bukamal in the vicinity of Imam Ali Base.

Pentagon confirms targeting and destruction of several Iranian-backed Kait’ib Hezbollah and Kait’ib Sayyid al Shuhada positions near the border.

Intel says there are casualties but the number is not known. Vehicles may also have been targeted. Unfortunately hard to know for sure what happened.

UPDATE 8:39 PM EST --

Three airstrikes have reportedly hit the customs buildings at the border crossing at Bukamal.  File image of that area appears below:

Hal Turner Remarks

It was just ONE WEEK AGO that this web site warned that after Biden's "inauguration" the US military immediately stepped-up convoys into Syria, and that "war was back on the menu."   At the time, NO OTHER MEDIA SITE warned so explicitly.  Here we are, a mere WEEK later, and it is beginning.

Here is the story which warned what was being set up in Syria and the Middle East:

Iran Snubs Beijing Biden Overture

Iran Snubs Biden Overture For Nuclear Talks: "LIFT Sanctions, We WILL Respond"

Zero Hedge,

19 February, 2021

Iran has snubbed the White House's signaling on Thursday that it's ready to sit down for EU-sponsored talks toward restoring the 2015 nuclear deal. For the first time in the Biden administration a senior US official said "We are ready to show up if such a meeting were to take place" - in what's clearly an invitation for Iran to signal the same. But Tehran has slapped it down, sticking with its line that Washington must begin dialing back sanctions first.

Bloomberg reports on the latest Friday after a flurry of statements out of the US administration which appeared to belatedly extend an open hand: "Iran said the U.S. must first return to the 2015 nuclear deal and lift sanctions if it wants talks with the Islamic Republic, appearing to snub an effort by the Biden administration to begin direct discussions before officially rejoining the accord."

Iran's foreign ministry then took the opportunity to remind the world that there was a perfectly good nuclear deal in place to which Iran was in full compliance but that "Trump left the room and tried to blow it up" - in reference to the US pulling out of the deal in May 2018.

"Because of US withdrawal from JCPOA, there is NO P5+1. It is now ONLY Iran and P4+1," government spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh tweeted in response Friday.

"US must Act: LIFT sanctions. We WILL respond," he added. Biden's strategy has been to demand Iran return to conformity with uranium enrichment caps first - before there's any talk of sanctions relief - however, Tehran has been consistent in saying it's for Washington to move first (by lifting sanctions).

Time is running out and the Biden White House is suddenly realizing it's painted itself into a corner. Though there was big talk on the campaign trail about reversing Trump's Iran policies, the reality is nothing has changed.

Iran has indicated it will begin blocking IAEA inspectors from its nuclear facilities starting Sunday, February 21st, hence this new scramble out of the Biden administration to find a way forward before this next escalation measure that many fear would be hard to roll back after it takes effect. Both the US and Europe are warning against such a step.

Iranian Presidency Office via AP/Politico

So far the Biden admin has introduced meager steps such as dropping travel restrictions on top level Iranian diplomats Trump had enacted, as well as abandoning the push for "snapback" sanctions at the UN.

This appeared an initial step toward softening this major attempt at an overture:

On Thursday, the Biden administration said it would be willing to meet with Iran to discuss a "diplomatic way forward" in efforts to return to the nuclear deal, a first step toward easing tensions.

"The United States would accept an invitation from the European Union High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5+1 and Iran to discuss a diplomatic way forward on Iran’s nuclear program," State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement. The P5+1 refers to the participants in the nuclear deal with Iran: China, Russia, France, the U.K., the U.S and Germany.

The US has lately been in direct talks with allies Britain, France, and Germany - the key European signatories to the JCPOA - and it appears they've finally struck up a common strategy in getting the frozen communications between Tehran and Washington going again.

But perhaps seizing upon the sense of confusion and raging policy debate within the Biden White House on the issue, the Iranians are seeking to be in the driver's seat after patiently enduring Trump's 'maximum pressure'.

Israel prepares to strike at the heart of Iran's Nuclear program

Israel Prepares for War

 Israeli News Live

Israel is preparing to strike at the heart of Iran's Nuclear program knowing that the retaliation from Iran will be devasting for its own citizens. A Likud minister close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday the US will never attack Iran’s nuclear program, and Israel will have to decide whether to launch such a strike alone or come to terms with a nuclear-armed Islamic Republic.

The statement came as tensions heated in the Middle East, with Iran ramping up its nuclear program with ongoing violations of its 2015 deal with world powers, and the US and Israel issuing threats and warnings.

The second month of 2021 began with preparations by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) for new round of hostilities.

Kata’ib Hezbollah received short and medium range rockets through Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Kata’ib Hezbollah is a key member of the PMU, actively participates in the fight against ISIS since the emergence of the group in Iraq, and is a vocal supporter of the current attempts to oust the US presence from Iraq.

At the same time, the PMU are subject to more and more frequent ISIS attacks in recent days. As the terrorists appear to be popping up all around. On January 31st, the PMU said they repelled an ISIS attack in the region of Jurf al-Sakhar in the province of Babil.

These apparent appearances by ISIS members coincide with reports by pro-Iranian sources blaming the US for airlifting them. On January 31st, in an interview with the al-Maloumeh news website, Sabah al-Akili claimed that the US military airlifts ISIS units into areas behind PMU positions in the Jurf al-Sakhar region.

So far, US President Joe Biden’s policy for the Middle East is incredibly unsurprising. Any potential withdrawals appear to be nothing more than a pipe dream. The first-ever African American Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the Trump Administration’s decision to withdraw was being reconsidered. Not only that, but it is likely that the deployments need to be increased.

Attacks on US supply convoys have become commonplace, all of them being blamed on the PMU. However, responsibility for the most recent attack was assumed by the Qasim Al-Jabbarin group, which does not declare its affiliation with the PMU.

With the US still leading the way for NATO in the entire region, any exit also from Afghanistan becomes more fiction than reality. This will, in turn, lead to increased Taliban activity, since the peace deal is not being honored.

US troops remaining in Syria is also indisputable, judging by the deployments that have recently taken place.

The responses to these refusals to withdraw will lead to more frequent attacks and accusations from the Axis of Resistance. The answer from the Iran-led group will be not only against the US presence, but also against its allies in the face of Israel and Saudi Arabia. Yemen’s Houthis are responsible for dealing with Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian fighter jets continue their attacks on reported Houthi targets, but mostly civilians. The ceasefire in al-Hudaydah is not being honored. Despite the Kingdom’s best efforts, the Houthis still have the upper hand in the conflict. On January 28th, at least 150 members of the Saudi-backed forces switched sides and went over to the Ansar Allah movement (the formal name of the Houthis). Additionally, drone attacks are more frequent. The Kingdom reported that it repelled several attacks, but such reports were not as common until recently.

That is when Iran deployed brand-new loitering munitions to the Houthis, and a new group made its appearance to target Riyadh’s ambitions on the Arab Peninsula.

Tensions in the Middle East continue deepening. The advent of reports of the airlifting of terrorists is something that’s been rare since the Obama-era. It appears that the region is once again subject to this known and proven method of “diplomatic intervention.”
