ALERT! CENSORSHIP - Important, reliale news items are being taken down

!

MOST of my most reliable sources – Russ Fort, 21st Century Wire, South Front, Hands off Syria – are all down subject to attack.

It could be the level of traffic but I doubt it.

I am providing current articles from Lebanese al-Masdar News while it is still opertive.

We are dangerously close to my nightmare situation whereby sources of information go dark

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Air Defense forces have been placed on high alert across the country amid reports of an imminent U.S. attack on Syria.

According to the latest military report from the coastal province of Latakia, the Syrian Air Force and their air defense teams have been ordered by their central command to stay on high alert until further notice.

The Russian military has also encouraged the Syrian military to remain on red alert, while also sharing intel reports on potential targets for the U.S. military.

However, despite reports of an ‘imminent’ attack, the Syrian military reports no unusual air activity around the eastern Mediterranean, adding that it has been quiet night.

A source from the Syrian military told Al-Masdar this week that they believe the U.S. will likely target one of their imperative airbases near the Damascus Governorate.

If the U.S. does choose to attack a base near Damascus, it will most likely either be the Mezzeh or Dumayr airports.

The Dumayr Airport would be an ideal location for the U.S. military, as it was frequently used by the Syrian Air Force to attack the East Ghouta; moreover, there are very little civilians in the area.

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:55 P.M.) – Turkey has ordered its proxy rebel groups to confiscate weapons of Jaysh al-Islam militants upon arriving at Jarabulus city from Eastern Ghouta.

According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the Turkish-backed fighters of the Euphrates Shield seized all weapons of the Saudi-sponsored militiamen who had been evacuated from the city of Douma in East Ghouta.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia (the main backer of Jaysh al-Islam) are known to be political rivals over the support of the Muslim Brotherhood group.

While Turkey vehemently supports the group in different Arab countries, Saudi Arabia toppled the former Egyptian president Mohammed Mursi who was affiliated with the Muslim brotherhood.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:55 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels launched several missiles towards the hometown of the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday, a military source told Al-Masdar News last night.

According to the source, the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Tahrir Souriya fired at least four missiles at the Latakia Governorate town of Qurdaha on Tuesday evening.

The source added that the jihadist missiles were fired from the nearby Al-Ghaab Plain in the Idlib Governorate.

In retaliation for the jihadist missile strike, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) began targeting Jabhat Tahrir Souriya’s positions in the Al-Ghaab Plain town of Al-Ziyarah, scoring several direct hits on the jihadist rebels.

Despite the Trump administration’s claims that it is “very seriously” mulling the pullout of forces from Syria, new evidence of Washington’s growing presence in the region has been emerging.

According to the Telegram channel Directorate 4, which focuses on news about armed conflicts, the US-led coalition is transferring military hardware and equipment from northern Iraq to Syria.

The photos, that have been posted on the account and have yet to be verified, show a convoy passing the Syrian city of al-Hasakah and consisting of ambulances, pickup trucks and haulage trucks carrying concrete fortifications for boosting military positions.

This comes amid reports in Turkish media last week that the US was bolstering its military presence in Syria’s Manbij, setting up two new facilities in the region and deploying 300 troops, armored vehicles and construction units in the area.

Kurdish commanders speaking to Sputnik have confirmed that the US, France and the UK were beefing up their presence in Manbij, adding that this seemed to indicate that the US and Turkey had not reached a deal on each other’s ongoing operations in the region.
