confirms crude oil imports down 6% on year

BEIJING--China's
General Administration of Customs confirmed Friday that May crude-oil
imports totaled 23.95 million metric tons, equivalent to 5.66 million
barrels a day, down 6.0% from a year earlier.
China's
Iranian crude imports in May were 2.36 million tons, up 6.4% from a
year earlier.
China's
crude imports from Iran between January and May were up 10.0% when
compared with the same period a year earlier, customs data showed.
China
didn't import a significant amount of gasoline in May.
Diesel
imports fell 74.5% to 50,129 tons, while diesel exports rose 26.9% to
227,133 tons, the data showed.
Kerosene
imports fell 7.8% to 447,258 tons, while fuel oil imports were up
19.8% at 2.83 million tons
