California county struggles to find safe drinking water

Back in 2011, California's Monterey County issued an advisory to all its citizens that the drinking water in the area is full of nitrates and recommended bottled water. According to studies, excessive levels of nitrates in the blood can cause serious illness. Still, two years later the county has failed to find a safer alternative source of water.
