Old, multi-year ice in Nunavit is disappearing

Not only is the area above Greenland opening up but there is an area at the very top of Nunavit in Canda that is starting to lose its ice.

This has been where some of the thickest mult-year ice,measured by the US navy as being 2 metres or more thick.

Compare that with just a few days ago, on the 11th August
 

Other areas are breaking up as well. This is approximately 81N -160
