Exponential
changes in the Arctic (and Antarctic)
There
are still people (mostly of Facebook) saying “what climate change?
So here are links to articles (all on this blog) that I put together
for a friend, from the last few days, but all published in June,
relating to non-linear events in the Arctic, as well as the
Antarctic.
For
those still unwilling to listen, I just have to raise my eyes to the
ceiling and leave them to their own prejudices.
A
searing dome of heat has laid itself out over interior Alaska,
pushing temperatures to all-time records in several locations.
A
very good interactive map here with
Arctic weather forecasts (high temps in many places within the Arctic
circle)
And
not to forget the Antarctic....
Ice
shelves lose more mass where the ice meets the sea than previously
thought.
I
have found the following the best guide to what is happening in the
Arctic
