Turkish
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make a high-profiled trip to the
Tehran next week, as he looks to strengthen regional ties with Russia
and Iran.
Erdogan’s
upcoming visit to Tehran comes just two weeks after he made a
historic trip to St. Petersburg in order to meet with Russian
President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier
this week, Erdogan announced that he has mapped out a solution to end
the ongoing war in Syria; however, he did not go into details.
Despite
their disagreements over Syria, Iran and Turkey have maintained good
relations; and they continue to coordinate against Kurdish militant
groups inside their respective countries.
