Picture of rebellion

The pictures of police brutality are totally unprecedented, but for those who know history, not totally surprising.

I shall try to keep an open eye on events that promise to open up a new round of rebellion against tyranny worldwide.

Rioters Form Their Own Riot Squad

Ankara, Turkey - For their fascist goverment, for their unbalanced force, for everything. People finally awake in Turkey.

STATEMENT

"As you may have noticed, we couldn't report any casualties. We see hundreds of people are wounded but there's no way to confirm the deaths and we don't want to create any chaos with misleading information. We try to show you how harsh the situation was and you have your instinct about the number of casualties. There are still only rumors and no reliable source like an NGO, bar association or medical chambers share info. We will share when such organisations provide information."

Turks want Erdogan, his ruling AK Party to step down

100's of thousands of protesters gathered in Turkey's famous Taksim square -- angry with the government's plan to tear down one of the last remaining parks near the square, in order to put up a shopping mall. Police attacked peaceful protesters using water cannon and tear gas. The heavy-handed crackdown has resulted in protesters calling for the resignation of the ruling AK Party led by Turkish Prime Minister Raccip Tayyip Erdogan. Protesters in Istanbul chanted slogans against the government, calling Erdogan a dictator and demanding an end to what they called his "authoritarian rule". The protests, which started on Tuesday by demonstrators occupying the park, have gained momentum and have brought people from all walks of life together in a movement against the government. Thousands of people rallied in the capital Ankara in solidarity with Istanbul protests.
