Brazil
has seen its biggest protests in almost two decades.
Demonstrations
began earlier this month over an increase in bus fares and high
ticket prices for next year's World Cup.
There
have been violent clashes with police firing tear gas and rubber
bullets against protesters.

protests continued throughout Brazil on Monday, with hundreds of
thousands of demonstrators converging in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro,
Belo Horizonte, the capital of Brasilia and other cities.
Protests initially began last week following a government announcement of an increase in public transportation costs, which brought out students and young workers and led to more than 250 arrests.
