KIm Dotcom and ACTA

Reading between the lines I would imagine that the agreement to extradite Kim Dotcom of Megaupload to America would have something to do with the ACTA treaty signed last year.
There is bound to be a legal battle over the extradition and this will give an indication of the strength of the draconian conditons of this secret agreement.
I found the following interview on Radio New Zealand interesting.
It points out, amongst other things, that copyright infringement has, up to now been a civil (not criminal) affair, and that the alleged offences were not committed on US territory.

We will find out how far the tentacles of the US legal system extend.
