I
was woken out of my reverie ( I was planning to take things easy
today) by this article.
When people see this some may think "at least there is SOME good news". But that is how we are SUPPOSED to react. The fact is it is complete bullshit as a short search on Google will confirm - along with the second article.

protection: UN says Earth's ozone layer is healing
6
November, 2018
Earth's
protective ozone layer is finally healing from damage caused by
aerosol sprays and coolants, a new United Nations report said.
The
ozone layer had been thinning since the late 1970s. Scientist raised
the alarm and ozone-depleting chemicals were phased out worldwide.
As
a result, the upper ozone layer above the Northern Hemisphere should
be completely repaired in the 2030s and the gaping Antarctic ozone
hole should disappear in the 2060s, according to a scientific
assessment released today at a conference in Quito, Ecuador.
The
Southern Hemisphere lags a bit and its ozone layer should be healed
by mid-century.
"It's
really good news," said report co-chairman Paul Newman, chief
Earth scientist at Nasa's Goddard Space Flight Centre. "If
ozone-depleting substances had continued to increase, we would have
seen huge effects. We stopped that."
High
in the atmosphere, ozone shields Earth from ultraviolet rays that
cause skin cancer, crop damage and other problems.
Use
of man-made chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), which
release chlorine and bromine, began eating away at the ozone. In
1987, countries around the world agreed in the Montreal Protocol to
phase out CFCs and businesses came up with replacements for spray
cans and other uses.
At
its worst in the late 1990s, about 10 per cent of the upper ozone
layer was depleted, said Newman. Since 2000, it has increased by
about 1 to 3 per cent per decade, the report said.
This
year, the ozone hole over the South Pole peaked at nearly 24.8
million sq km. That's about 16 per cent smaller than the biggest hole
recorded — 29.6 million sq km in 2006.
The
hole reaches its peak in September and October and disappears by late
December until the next Southern Hemisphere spring, Newman said.
The
ozone layer starts at about 10km above Earth and stretches for nearly
40km; ozone is a colourless combination of three oxygen atoms.
If
nothing had been done to stop the thinning, the world would have
destroyed two-thirds of its ozone layer by 2065, Newman said.
But
it's not a complete success yet, said University of Colorado's Brian
Toon, who wasn't part of the report.
"We
are only at a point where recovery may have started," Toon said,
pointing to some ozone measurements that haven't increased yet.
Another
problem is that new technology has found an increase in emissions of
a banned CFC out of East Asia, the report noted.
On
its own, the ozone hole has slightly shielded Antarctica from the
much larger effects of global warming — it has heated up but not as
much as it likely would without ozone depletion, said Ross Salawitch,
a University of Maryland atmospheric scientist who co-authored the
report.
So
a healed ozone layer will worsen man-made climate change there a bit,
Newman said.
Scientists
don't know how much a healed ozone hole will further warm Antarctica,
but they do know the immediate effects of ozone depletion on the
world and human health, so "it would be incredibly irresponsible
not to do this," Salawitch said.
And
the replacements now being used to cool cars and refrigerators need
to be replaced themselves with chemicals that don't worsen global
warming, Newman said. An amendment to the Montreal Protocol that goes
into effect next year would cut use of some of those gases.
"I
don't think we can do a victory lap until 2060," Newman said.
"That will be for our grandchildren to do."
How do the people who put the above article together square it with the following?
Someone
Was Producing Tons of a Ozone-Destroying Chemical That Was Banned in
1987. Now We Know Who
9
July, 2018
A
couple months back, scientists from around the world revealed a new
mystery: somebody in East Asia was again producing banned
chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)—the chemical that put a hole in the
ozone layer—and it
wasn’t clear who was
responsible.
This
is a big issue because the ozone layer, without which we’re more
likely to get skin cancer and premature aging of the skin, is
recovering thanks to the global effort to get rid of CFCs. And now we
know who’s responsible for threatening that recovery.
It’s
the Chinese manufacturers of plastic foam, according to an
investigation by an NGO called the Environmental Investigation Agency
(EIA.) The group said
Monday it
has evidence that 18 Chinese makers of polyurethane foam insulation,
which is generally used in construction, regularly use CFC-11 in the
manufacturing process.
“EIA’s
calculations show that emission estimates associated with the level
of use reported by these companies can explain the majority of
emissions identified in the atmospheric study. In addition there is
significant potential for illegal international trade in CFC-11
containing pre-formulated polyols for foam manufacturing in other
countries,” the group said.
CFCs
are banned under the 1987 Montreal Protocol, to which China is a
party. Even developing countries are supposed to have stopped using
CFC-11 (aka trichlorofluoromethane) in 2010, despite its historic
utility in making appliances and foam building insulation.
The
EIA said China should now clamp down on what turns out to be a
pervasive practice in the country. According to the NGO, companies it
spoke to “acknowledged the illegality of their actions and
explained that it was used because it was cheaper and made more
effective foams.”
“We
didn’t know what on Earth someone would be using CFC-11 for,”
Steve Montzka of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration, which revealed the rise in CFC-11 levels, told
the Guardian.
“Well, here’s one answer and that’s a surprise.”
Montzka
added that it was possible that someone else is also still producing
CFC-11. “If this one issue is targeted within China, we want to be
sure that will take care of the problem,” he said.

That is what the data shows. From watching this I am not finding it difficult to believe that what is going on is far deeper than we are being told.
Furthermore, it may that Dane Wigington has at least part of the puzzle right.
Here is a repost of a previous article on the subject
Is
the Ozone Layer Collapsing?
This
is a conventional view of the hole in the ozone layer according to
Wikipedia
Ozone
depletion describes
two related events observed since the late 1970s: a steady lowering
of about four percent in the total amount
of ozone in Earth'satmosphere
(the ozone
layer),
and a much larger springtime decrease in stratospheric ozone
around Earth's polar regions.[1] The
latter phenomenon is referred to as the ozone
hole.
There are also springtime polar tropospheric
ozone depletion events in
addition to these stratospheric events.
The
main cause of ozone depletion and the ozone hole is manufactured
chemicals, especially
manufactured halocarbon refrigerants, solvents, propellants and
foam-blowing
agents (chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs),
HCFCs, halons),
referred to as ozone-depleting
substances (ODS).
These compounds are transported into the stratosphere by the winds
after being emitted at the surface.[2] Once
in the stratosphere, they release halogen atoms
through photodissociation,
which catalyze the
breakdown of ozone (O3) into oxygen (O2).[3] Both
types of ozone depletion were observed to increase as emissions of
halocarbons increased.
Ozone
depletion and the ozone hole have generated worldwide concern over
increased cancer risks and other negative effects. The ozone layer
prevents most harmful UVB wavelengths
of ultraviolet light
(UV light) from passing through the Earth's
atmosphere.
These wavelengths cause skin
cancer, sunburn and cataracts,
which were projected to increase dramatically as a result of thinning
ozone, as well as harming plants and animals. These concerns led to
the adoption of the Montreal
Protocol in
1987, which bans the production of CFCs, halons and other
ozone-depleting chemicals.
The
ban came into effect in 1989. Ozone levels stabilized by the
mid-1990s and began to recover in the 2000s. Recovery is projected to
continue over the next century, and the ozone hole is expected to
reach pre-1980 levels by around 2075.[4] The
Montreal Protocol is considered the most successful international
environmental agreement to date.

However
other sources (including the ultra-conservative BBC) is demostrating
that this is not the case.
Hunt
for source of illegal chlorofluorocarbons …
Scientists
have detected a mysterious and “shocking” rise in the world’s
atmospheric levels of CFCs, the gas banned since the 1980s because it
attacks the Earth’s protective ozone layer.
Chlorofluorocarbons
were used in making foams for furniture and buildings, in aerosols
and as refrigerants. But they were banned after the discovery of the
ozone hole over Antarctica. Experts at the NOAA science agency in the
US say they have ruled out the expected leaks of CFC-11 from those
historical sources, or other atmospheric factors, in trying to
explain the sudden sharp increase. “You are left with, boy, it
really looks like somebody is making it new,” said Stephen Montzka
at the NOAA.
Since 2007, there has been essentially zero reported production of CFC-11. The source of the new emissions has been tracked to east Asia, but finding a more precise location requires further investigation. Failing to do so could set back the ozone layer’s recovery by 10 years or more, say experts. Hopefully, says Montzka, “somebody who was maybe doing it purposefully will realise – oh, someone is paying attention – and stop doing it”.

The
reason being ponted to is the illegal manufacture of
chlorofluorocarbons mostly, but not exclusively in China.
BANNED FLUOROCARBONS IN CHINA AND ITALY
Illegal
production of CFC-11 in China has a climate impact equivalent to
16-20 coal power plants, the Environmental Investigation Agency
estimates
Chinese
factories are illegally producing chemicals that damage the ozone
layer and the climate.
That
was revealed in a survey of manufacturers carried out by
the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) and corroborated by the
New York Times on Monday.
The
EIA identified eight companies in four provinces that were
using CFC-11 in the production of plastic foams, which are most
commonly used for building insulation. It is one of a
group of chemicals banned under the 1987 Montreal Protocol
to protect the ozone layer.
“These
and other well placed sources in the Chinese chemical industry
strongly suggest that this is a wider practice,” said the agency’s
Avipsa Mahapatra.
The green
watchdog estimates up to 70% of Chinese rigid foam production
uses CFC-11, which has a global warming effect as well as
depleting ozone. By the EIA’s calculation, this illegal activity
has a climate impact equivalent to 16-20 coal power stations.
Its
findings go a long way to explain mysteriously high levels
of the pollutant detected by air monitors, in data
published in
Nature last month.
Potent,
climate-warming gases are being emitted into the atmosphere but are
not being recorded in official inventories, a BBC
investigation has found.
Air
monitors in Switzerland have detected large quantities of one gas
coming from a location in Italy.
However, the Italian submission to the UN records just a tiny amount of the substance being emitted.
Levels of some emissions from India and China are so uncertain that experts say their records are plus or minus 100%.
These flaws posed a bigger threat to the Paris climate agreement than US President Donald Trump’s intention to withdraw, researchers told BBC Radio 4’s Counting Carbon programme.

This
points to the problems posed by geoengineering
The
evils of global warming and ozone depletion are competing problems,
at least in Antarctica, the results of two new studies
suggest.
Schemes to pump sulfur into the atmosphere to counteract global warming might help cool the Earth, but they could also cause problems at the poles, scientists warned today. Continuous injections could drastically deplete polar ozone, delaying the recovery of the current ozone hole over Antarctica by several decades.
And another study finds that if the southern ozone hole is patched, the heat would turn on in Antarctica.
Injecting sulfur into the atmosphere is one of the most talked about "geoengineering" schemes aimed at counteracting the warming caused by the carbon dioxide building up in Earth's atmosphere, largely due to industry and vehicles emissions.
Sulfur particles, along with some other aerosols, can have a cooling effect on Earth's surface because they scatter incoming sunlight back out to space. This effect can actually happen naturally when sulfur is spewed out in volcanic eruptions. After the 1991 Mt. Pinatubo eruption, which injected millions of tons of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, global temperatures dropped by about 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.5 degrees Celsius).

THE
CONTRARIAN VIEW - GEOENGINEERING
Below
is a video and an article from Dane Wigington and a source who claims
to have worked as an engineer with NASA.
The
talk here is of low-frequency UV-C radiation, which is used as a
germocidal, and according to conventonal sources is absorbed in the
upper atmosphere and does not make it to the surface. Consequently,
it is not measured.
Wigington
and his source claim to have used high quality equipment to measure
this and have concluded that there are high levels of this form of
radiation in the atmosphere with potentially-devasting effects on
insect populations and on the ability to grow food.

Ozone
Layer Collapse, A Former NASA Contract Engineer Warns Of Planetary
Omnicide ( Dane Wigington)
We
are told by “official” sources that the ozone layer is
recovering, that we have nothing to worry about. This narrative is
being pushed by power structure controlled agencies in order to
pacify the public until the last possible moment. How close is that
moment? If we remain on the current course, anthropogenic activities
(with climate engineering at the top of the list) may completely
destroy the ozone layer within the next decade or less.
Without
the ozone layer, all terrestrial life on Earth (and most aquatic
life) will perish. The “official” sources who tell us climate
engineering isn’t happening, who tell us that we are only seeing
"condensation trail" grid patterns in our skies, are the
same agencies telling us the ozone layer is getting better. Yet, the
increasing intensity of UV radiation can be felt on the skin, on
surfaces, is scorching foliage and tree trunks, and is sunburning
whales and fish. The increasingly intense UV radiation from the
disintegrating ozone layer can and is being metered by experts in the
field. In this video a former NASA contract engineer discusses the
immense and immediate UV radiation dangers we face from the
disintegrating ozone layer which he is personally metering with state
of the art equipment supplied through GeoengineeringWatch.org
Though
the official ozone layer “recovery” lie is still being
propagated, some sources are acknowledging reality as the truth
becomes ever more difficult to hide.
Global
power structures are increasingly desperate to keep populations from
panicking as the biosphere collapse accelerates. The recent “ozone
layer is recovering” official agency false narrative is a blatant
example of the Orwellian world we now find ourselves in. We must
think for ourselves, we must do objective investigation, we must
examine the frontline facts for ourselves, we must use all available
verifiable data to form our conclusions.

The Ozone Layer Recovery Lie And Climate Engineering Denial, Both Are Breaking Down
Dane
Wigington
February
7, 2018
Until
recently official sources have pushed the patently false
narrative that Earth's ozone layer was recovering, that blatant lie
is now becoming impossible to maintain. Our planet's ozone layer
is disintegrating, climate engineering is the single greatest causal
factor (though no "official" source is yet willing to admit
to the ongoing covert climate engineering atrocities).
Ozone layer is NOT recovering over some of Earth's most highly populated areas putting billions at risk of exposure to cancer-causing UV rays…
… scientists have now discovered ozone is failing to recover at lower latitudes
It is likely not recovering at latitudes between 60°N and 60°S
Researchers believe climate change is altering atmospheric circulation
(The UK Daily Mail, 2/6/2018)
Though
some sources still claim there is limited ozone layer
recovery over the polar regions, front line data from some of the
same sources does
not support such a conclusion. How many are even aware of
the "Unprecedented Ozone
Hole Over (the) Canadian Arctic" (that was first reported in
2011)? In regard to the UK Daily Mail statement that
"Researchers believe climate
change is altering atmospheric circulations", again, a
lie. Geoengineering
is the greatest single factor impacting atmospheric circulation
patterns.
Ozone Layer Not Recovering Over Populated Areas, Scientists Warn
… the protective ozone is thinning at the lower latitudes, where the sunlight is stronger and billions of people live
(The Guardian, 2/6/2018)
Scientists Find That A Vital Part Of Earth’s Ozone Layer Is Not Healing As Expected
The rescue of the planet’s protective ozone layer has been hailed as one of the great success stories of modern environmental regulation — but on Monday, an international team of 22 scientists raised doubts about whether ozone is recovering as expected across much of the world.
(The Washington Post, 2/6/2018)
In
May of 2014 GeoengineeringWatch.org reported
on the record that geoengineering
was destroying the ozone layer. Efforts to “debunk” our
data based ozone layer collapse conclusions were again countered
by Geoengineering Watch. During the last few years
a number of attempts were made by mainstream sources to convince
populations that the ozone layer was recovering, Geoengineering
Watch again responded on the record that the “ozone
recovery” narrative was (and is) completely false. Mainstream
and official sources have long since admitted that geoengineering
programs "would" damage the ozone layer "if"
geoengineering was deployed (though no official source will
admit to the ongoing climate engineering reality).
We are being lied to on every level, and to a degree that cannot be truly comprehended. The ozone layer is not recovering, it is collapsing. Though there are countless anthropogenic factors negatively impacting Earth’s vital ozone layer, climate engineering / geoengineeering / solar radiation management is by far the single greatest factor fueling ozone layer collapse. To be clear, if the ozone layer completely collapses, all terrestrial life and most aquatic life will perish. How close could such a state be if we remain on the current course? We are perilously close, perhaps only a few years.
The “official denial” of climate engineering is also breaking down, the impacts of the ongoing geoengineering / solar radiation management assault are becoming all but impossible to hide in plain sight.
The
horrific environmental and climate decimation being created
by climate engineering are far beyond catastrophic. Though there
are countless forms of anthropogenic
damage to the planet and the climate system, global
geoengineering operations are mathematically the most destructive of
all. If public apathy regarding the climate engineering
assault remains, if academia
continues to lie about the climate engineering reality, if
climate engineering is allowed to continue, our days are numbered.
Again, this is not speculation, theory, conjecture,
or hypothesis, rather, it is a mathematical fact. Every single
individual that is awake and aware is needed in the critical battle
to sound the alarm. Sharing credible
data from a credible source is most effective and efficient
way to gain traction in this battle.
Make your voice heard while it can still make a difference.
The
following is a scientific paper which points in the same direction
Aims:
The dangerous portion of ultraviolet radiation is widely believed
to be completely absorbed by the atmosphere before reaching Earth’s
surface. Our objective is to make multiple measurements at Earth’s
surface of the solar irradiance spectrum in the range 200-400 nm.
Methods:
We
made numerous measurements of the solar irradiance spectrum in the
range 200-400 nm at an elevation of 56 m with International Light
Technologies ILT950UV Spectral Radiometer mounted on a Meade LXD55
auto guider telescope tripod and mount assembly.
Results:
Our
multifold measurements of solar irradiance spectra demonstrate
conclusively that all wavelengths in the spectral range 200-400 nm
reach Earth’s surface, contrary to the widespread perception that
all UV-C and the majority of UV-B never reach the surface. We confirm
the surface UV-C measurements of D’Antoni et al. (2007) that were
disputed, based on faulty computer model calculations of atmospheric
ozone, and thereafter ignored by the geoscience community.
Conclusions:
The
veracity of our data and D’Antoni et al. (2007)’s data call into
question the validity of atmospheric ozone models. Further, we call
into question the simplistic supposition of the Montreal Protocol
that chloro-fluoro-hydrocarbons are the primary cause of ozone
depletion, and point to the very heavy burden of halogens introduced
into the atmosphere by ongoing jet-sprayed coal-fly-ash
geoengineering. We demonstrate that satellite-based LISIRD solar
spectra irradiance at the top of the atmosphere is badly flawed with
some regions of the spectrum being less intense than measured at
Earth’s surface. That calls into question any calculations made
utilizing LISIRD data. We provide introductory information on the
devastating effects of UV-B and UV-C on humans, phytoplankton, coral,
insects and plants. These will be discussed in greater detail in
subsequent articles.

Lastly
here is a surprising article from Thom Hartmann on the
potential for geoengineering to destroy the ozone layer
1
July, 2012
Professor
David Karoly, of the University of Melbourne’s School of Earth
Sciences, says another ‘pie in the sky’ solution is to shoot
sulfur particles in the atmosphere to shield the earth from the sun.
He says that would destroy the ozone layer.
Has anybody stepped out into the sun lately? Others have affirmed what I have experienced: It's a lot easier to get a sunburn than it used to be. Has anybody else noticed?
They are illegally geoengineering the atmosphere of our planet, with a lot worse than sulfur particles. And now they want to do MORE: The need for geoengineering
Do the lovely graphs convince you? There are lunatics calling themselves scientists, preparing the stage for disaster - in the name of "science". They will lead us to our deaths by trying to play God and manipulating systems that were not meant to be manipulated by man. There are Transhumanists (Google it) who believe that technology will surpass human being - we will be truly subsurvient to machine in all it's glory. These people are insane.
They have been chemtrailing the planet heavily for more than a decade now, not to mention the sacreligious cooking of the ionosphere (ie HAARP).
