Typhoon alert for Japan and Fukushima


Cyclone alert: Typhoon Shanshan is forecast to cause waves as high as 17.34 m or 56.9 ft near Japan on 
August 9, 2018. 
 

Strong winds and heavy rain are expected to hit the greater Tokyo area, threatening to cause winds and flooding damage, as well as power outages, mudslides and transport disruptions. 

The cyclone is also threatening to affect the Fukushima area north of Tokyo.
