Russia's new S-500 system allegedly launched

Unconfirmed reports that Russia has launched new
S-500 system

HalTurner on his website is claiming to have covert intelligence that Russia Russia has quietly and successfully conducted the world's longest surface-to-air missile test.

"The S-500 surface-to-air missile system successfully struck a target 299 miles away, which the U.S. assessed is 50 miles further than any known test, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

"Russia claims that the ground-based missile system is capable of intercepting hypersonic missiles, drones and aircraft as well as stealth warplanes like the F-22 and the F-35. The S-500 system would expand the Kremlin's capabilities to engage multiple targets with precision strikes.

"Russia also claims the system has a range capable of destroying objects flying at near-space ranges or 62 miles above the Earth's surface."

HERE is a Wikipedia article:

The S-500 Prometey (RussianC-500 ПрометейPrometheus), also known as 55R6M "Triumfator-M",[2] is a Russian surface-to-air missile/anti-ballistic missile system intended to replace the A-135 missile system currently in use, and supplement the S-400. The S-500 is under development by the Almaz-Antey Air Defence Concern, and planned to be deployed by 2020. With its characteristics it will be very similar to the US Terminal High Altitude Area Defensesystem.[3]
