Storm Warning for North Iceland

The low pressure system that wreaked havoc in the East Fjords this morning is now moving north. The Icelandic Met Office has issued a storm warning for North Iceland. Winds will be blowing from the southwest at speeds of 18-28 meters per second.
The windiest areas will be Tröllaskagi and Skagaströnd, including the towns of Akureyri , Dalvík, Siglufjörður, Ólafsfjörður and Sauðárkrókur. The winds will decrease by late afternoon.
