MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. Russia’s Defense Ministry will unveil data to mass media outlets next week about the weapons and training Syrian gunmen in Turkey, the head of the Russian National Defense Management Center said on Wednesday.

We will provide you with the information on the amount of weapons, components of explosive substances and the training of gunmen on Turkey’s territory next week,” Mikhail Mizintsev said.
According to the official, about 2,000 militants, more than 120 metric tons of ammunition and some 250 vehicles have been redeployed from Turkish territory to Syria over the past week.
Financial flows from resale of oil products are aimed not only at making the top military and political leaders of Turkey richer. They return in great volumes to the Syrian Arab Republic in the form of weapons, ammunition and mercenaries of various types,” Mizintsev said.
Over the past week alone, up to 2,000 militants, more than 120 tons of ammunition and some 250 units of vehicles of various applications have been redeployed from Turkish territory to the detachments of ISIL (former name of Islamic State terrorist organization) and Jabhat al-Nusra,” he said.
US President Barack Obama on Tuesday called on Turkey to step up the fight against the IS and to seal the border with Syria to stop the traffic of gunmen and cargos for terrorists.
Last week, Syria’s Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said the IS gunmen received weapons, logistic support and medical services from Turkey.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces have been carrying out airstrikes against the facilities of gunmen in Syria since September 30 at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Over the past two months, the airstrikes have destroyed more than 1,000 tankers of crude oil and dozens of oil refining facilities belonging to terrorists

The month of November was bad for both the Islamist rebels and ISIS as they conceded several villages and large swathes of territory to the Syrian Arab Army.

Russian fighter jets operating in the Syrian skies have successfully targeted a major foreign-run military base in the northwest of the Arab country where elements of ISIL terrorist group were training militants for terror attacks.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the country’s warplanes have, in the last 24 hours, carried out 39 combat sorties, hitting 49 targets across Syria, including a training base, where it said foreign ISIL instructors trained the militants.

Not far from Salma in Lattakia province, a Su-24M bomber delivered a strike at a building, which was used as a terrorist training ground,” ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, citing intelligence sources that there were ISIL foreign instructors training militants for “guerrilla warfare in areas liberated by the Syrian army.”

The Russian general said an explosives workshop inside the camp was destroyed during the attack.

According to the official, the 49 targets also included command points, weapons workshops, firing positions, depots and fortified bunkers.

On September 30, Russia started its air campaign against ISIL and other terrorists in Syria based on a request by the Syrian government.

The Syrian army managed on Saturday to restore security to the Hweija town in northern Aleppo countryside, after launching a military operation against the dens of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri group, leaving scores of its terrorists killed or wounded.
