Reflections on events in Sri Lanka

Reflections on events in Sri Lanka

This has taken most of my energy today and represents my attempt to make sense of yesterday's dispicable, co-ordinated attack on Sri Lankan Catholics and tourist hotels in the heart of Colombo as well as in Battacaloa on the east coast.

I point out the double standards of the western media who denounce the attack in Christchurch and call out to the Muslim community while they studiously avoid making any reference to the Christian community or the probable role of Muslim extremism.

Instead any mention of Islamic terrorism is hypocritically branded "Islamophobia"

This is my best effort on an extremely low day.
