A
cold front will sweep the UK with heavy showers helping to push
temperatures down by more than 10C, forecasters say. Scotland and
south-eastern England will hold on to the heat this weekend with the
mercury forecast to hover around the mid to high-20Cs.Elsewhere it
will feel more comfortable as cooler air blows in from the west
bringing the record-breaking heatwave to an end.Next week will turn
‘more usual’ for the time of year with bouts of wind and rain set
to sweep in from the west.
