New S Korean president emphasizes the need for peace

‘I will do my best in all directions for peace’ in Korea – new S. Korean president

Newly sworn in South Korean President Moon Jae-in said he wants to strengthen the South Korea-US alliance, but remains sharply critical of THAAD and advocated for rapprochement with North Korea and China. He emphasized the need for peace in the Korean peninsula.
