shock. Predictable. A very clever political strategy. The whole FN
campaign was based on alterophobia - the fear of the Other.
Unemployment, insecurity, terrorism: it's always The Other's fault.
Vast swathers of fearful France bought it - there was nothing else in
the market.
Now,
their mantra is nationalism. "We are the true nationalists."
It will also work. No wonder both left and right are dazed and
confused - ramming the same old mantra of "Republican values".
Values that they are not able to respect - plagued as they are by
everything from neoliberalcon obsession to corruption.

BREAKING: MARINE LE PEN’S PARTY LEADS IN FRENCH REGIONAL ELECTIONS
The
National Front leads in the first round of the regional elections in
France.
The
results from the exit polls show that Marine Le Pen’s National
Front is leading in 6 of the 12 regions. She and her niece Marion
Le Pen are both taking more than 40% in their regions.
This
is a clear victory for the National Front and Le Pen, who is going to
run for presidency in 2017.
The
official results are yet to be announced. The second round of
the current regional elections will take place on December 13.

a corporate “Solutions 21” event in Paris.
