Data stolen during 30 minutes error on Friday
CWZ,
2 August, 2014
Millions
of Facebook users witnessed the attack on Facebook. Anonymous hackers
claimed that they were behind the attack. But later they published
that they were trolling.
People
got so scared, that some decided to call the emergency hotline 911.
The
911 service posted that they do not know what caused the 30 minutes
break on Facebook.
Facebook
data stolen
Facebook
holds millions of private records, including pictures, videos and
secret messages. People were afraid that the attack on Facebook,
might have caused a Facebook leak which hold the personal information
of millions of Facebook users. As far as we know, no Facebook data
was stolen during the attack on Facebook.
Users
trying to reach Facebook receive a page with the message “Sorry,
something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon
as we can.”
The
Facebook service provides a page to a total of 1.23 billion users per
day. Just image the amount of data that is collected by Facebook.
This
was the note on the Facebook developers page:
“Traffic
and error-rates are almost back to normal after a coordinated
intervention by our engineering teams. We are now monitoring the
situation and we have our best engineers determining the root-cause
of this issue that affected much of our web fleet. We apologize for
any inconvenience and we aim to ensure that this issue does not
repeat.”
