al-Jazeera's attack on Russia Today

This is part of the war of information (and misinformation) - a cold war piece on RT accusing RT of cold war tactics!
From my own personal perspective I go to RT because they give air time to people who are telling the stories that challenge the mainstream, corporate media in the West. We would not see Max Keiser, Michel Chossudovsky and and a whole range of other people if it wasn’t for RT and the internet.
Knowing the nature of post-Soviet Russia I would never trust RT to paint a balanced view of events in Russia and the CIS.
But as far as looking the economic and social collapse of  the West, as well as the lies of the corporate media RT provides a legitimate alternative view - as does Press TV in a more limited way.
I have been disappointed by the transformation of al-Jazeera from the channel that fearlessly covered the Iraq war (its own reporters being killed by the Americans), and covered the Israeli war on Gaza to the station that champions the interests of the Gulf states and the West, leading the charge in supporting war against Qaddafi, and now Syria and Iran.  Hence their strong anti-Russian bias.
I say just be aware of the possible biases coming through and listen.
Listening Post - Feature: News channel or propaganda tool?
Listening Post looks at a news channel that seems more interested in reviving the Cold War than reporting what is really happening in Russia, today.
