It is hard for me to navigate this but I think where we are talking about is on the left side of the map, where Tiksi is.
You may have to mentally turn either the map or the images upside down to get an orientation.
The Bering Sea is practically ice-free and is 2nd lowest
Meanwhile this is the Beaufort Sea above Alaska - today
And in 2018
To understand this, look at the temperature anomalies in the region
