is encouraging us to think critically
People who call for the extermination of 1.5 million "superfluous" inhabitants of eastern Ukraine are NOT fascists. The people we have in charge of our governments ARE.

On Abby Martin: IMO, her call for Russia to withdraw all military aid to the SE, as she stated in her recent interview with Carolyn Baker, was not just naive but inane. If it were up to Abby Martin, Hitler would have (not could have, but would have) captured all of Europe, including the UK, and quite likely Russia too.

On
the Left's Continuing Tendency to Conflate Nazism with Fascism: The
Ukraine, once again, is NOT about "fascism" anymore than
multinational corporate capitalism can be compared to a mom and pop
grocery store. As I stated earlier, most Americans don't even know
what fascism is. They may have heard about Spain, and maybe about
Pinochet, but if that's all the left has to throw at the NAZIS in
Kiev, it may as well pack up shop and shoot itself in the head.
I
realize that a lot of people in the left like certain pundits, and I
also realize that some of these pundits like to throw words around,
hoping they will stick. Words are the most potent weapon of war. As
such, they matter very much.
I
am not talking about higher algebra here. I am not talking
macroeconomics. Most Americans think fascism is a sauce you put on
hamburgers. If the pundits can't distinguish between a Big Mac
spread, a garden variety fascist and a Banderian Nazi like Yats or
the leader of the Right Sector, then, just perhaps, they also need to
shoot themselves in the head.
If
their followers can't distinguish it, they're in equally serious
trouble, noting that most of them, seemingly, cannot. Every time I
hear reference to "fascists" in Kiev, it's like chalk
screaming on the blackboard. I realize Putin is too pussilanimous to
trouble the Americans with anything that would break his former
wetdream of almost perfect comity. He still calls them fascists,
after all, but, at least, Glazyev calls them Nazis.
The
left, I think, is almost totally schizophrenic. It simultaneously
criticizes Putin and enables him. It confuses the gobsmack ETHNIC
CLEANSING and GENOCIDAL agenda of Nazis (specifically) with most
garden variety forms of fascism that do NOT have that specifically
NAZIFIED agenda that is such an integral part of the Nazi DNA. And,
while it never could get its pundits straight, the leftt will follow
just about anyone, and then parrot any sound byte that the pundit may
utter.
And
that's just the LEFT. I'm not referring to the liberal class. Sad
days, yes? We clearly don't deserve democracy. Before it ever
reappears, may there be a radical cleansing on every level - inner,
outer, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - that cuts to the
very root of the world tree.
All
we need to do is get out of the way.
You
