I
am sure there is fraud on both sides of the aisle. I used to repect
Greg Palast of Best Democracy Money Can Buy. But it turns out he does
not cover electoral fraud but only fraud by the GoP.
When

A
Broward County judge ruled in favor of Gov. Rick Scott in his
campaign for U.S. Senate on Friday afternoon and said the county’s
election supervisor must provide records to Scott regarding how many
people voted, how many ballots have been canvassed and how many
ballots remain to be canvassed.
That
must be done by 7 p.m. Friday, Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips said.

Phillips
said Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes violated the Florida
Constitution and state statutes by not providing the public records.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee and Rick Scott for
Senate filed the lawsuit Thursday evening. Scott’s attorney, Jason
Zimmerman, said they requested the records Thursday between noon and
1 p.m. He said Snipes should have provided the documents to the
state, and Snipes should have been able to easily provide them to
Scott’s team.
Zimmerman
said the case is a public records case and is not “a partisan
issue.”
Snipes’
attorney, Eugene Pettis, said Snipes never refused to deliver the
records; she simply needed a “reasonable” amount of time to do
so.
“Dr.
Snipes has never told them she would not provide the information.
They just delivered it 26 hours ago,” Pettis said. “The backdrop
of this is that Gov. Scott does not believe that it’s moving fast
enough. That’s what he said on TV. That it’s not moving fast
enough therefore they’ve intervened to speed this up. That’s
inappropriate.”
Leonard
Samuels, attorney for the Florida Democratic Party, said there
couldn’t be a “worse time” to get these records out and is
concerned it could slow down the process of counting votes.
“The
Florida Democratic Party is here to make sure all the votes are
counted. We were here in 2000 to make sure all the votes were
counted. We’re here now to make sure all the votes are counted.
That’s our concern. Political or not, ill leave that up to you,”
he later said. “Any efforts to slow down the process will be met
with opposition by us.”
Judge
Phillips, acknowledging that Broward County is again under the
microscope, said the information requested should have already been
compiled.
“It
should be there. It should not slow down proceedings,” she said.
Outside
the courtroom, U.S. Rep Matt Gaetz, a Republican from the Panhandle,
called for Scott, in his capacity as governor, to suspend Snipes and
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher.
In
Palm Beach County court on Friday morning, attorneys for the
Democratic Party of Florida and Scott claimed Bucher violated state
law in the way she is handling provisional and damaged ballots. The
judge granted the Democratic Party’s request to get a list of all
the people who cast provisional ballots.
Attorneys
for Scott argued ballots aren’t being duplicated properly. The
judge voiced concern that elections workers were duplicating ballots
without outside witnesses to review their work and ordered Bucher to
retrieve ballots that were duplicated and not taken before Palm Beach
County Canvassing Board to assure they were copied properly.
“Both
in Palm Beach County this morning and in Broward County this
afternoon the supervisors of elections are 0 and 2. They’ve both
been found to have broken the law,” Gaetz said.
He
said there was “inappropriate action” by Bucher and
“unconstitutional inaction” by Snipes.
Snipes’
attorney Pettis said there is no reason the supervisor should resign
from office.
“The
judge’s ruling does not give any basis for Dr. Snipes stepping
down. This is not a time for politics. This is a time for us to
complete an election cycle and allow her to do her constitutional
duty that she’s done for many, many years and she’s done it to
the best of her ability,” he said.
Gaetz
said obtaining the public records in Broward will help to ascertain
whether there was any elections fraud.
“You
can’t prove fraud without evidence and so this hearing was about
getting that evidence,” he said.

also said he was not allowed into the elections headquarters but saw
Democrat attorneys entering the offices all day.
And
Gaetz said he did not see any Republican attorneys in the area
today!!

Gaetz says state officials STILL do not know how many ballots were
cast, who cast them and where they were cast — THREE DAYS after the
election!
Rep.
Gaetz: When I leave here we are going to go get motions of contempt
prepared and we are going back in front of a judge to hold Brenda
Snipes in contempt of court.

Tuesday Broward County Elections supervisor Brenda Snipes reported
634,000 votes were cast in the midterm election in her county.
On
Friday morning Broward County Elections officials now say 717,000
votes were cast in the midterm election.
Broward
County Democrats have mysteriously found 83,000 votes in the past two
days!
And
she’s still finding new votes.
Why can’t Supervisor of Election in Broward explain why on the night of the election she reported 634,000 ballots were cast in the General election and today she is reporting that over 717,000 ballots were cast? 83,000 more ballots? It’s things like this that make people cynical

Protesters swarm Broward County’s elections headquarters amid unproven fraud claims
Fueled
by Trump tweets and unfounded claims of voter fraud, dozens of
protesters gathered outside the Broward County elections headquarters
Friday in a rowdy scene that led staff to call police for protection.
A
crowd of about 100 activists organized outside the Lauderhill strip
mall that houses Brenda Snipes’ elections operations off U.S. 441,
railing about illegal votes and stolen elections. They were drawn to
Snipes’ office by the claims of politicians and pundits that
thousands of fraudulent ballots are being dumped into the vote
tallies from Tuesday’s midterm elections in order to steal races
from Gov. Rick Scott and former Congressman Ron DeSantis.

Three statewide races in Florida are headed to a recount and all depend on results from a county whose supervisor of elections has a history of losing ballots and breaking laws by allowing illegal immigrants and felons to vote, as well as illegally destroying ballots.
Broward
County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes’ office
has admitted “they
don’t know” how many ballots there are still to count.
Snipes’
latest failure to finalize Tuesday’s election returns days after
the polls closed is also in violation of Florida law, which
requires elections
officials to “report all early voting and all tabulated
vote-by-mail results to the Department of State within 30 minutes
after the polls close. Thereafter, the canvassing board shall report,
with the exception of provisional ballot results, updated precinct
election results to the department at least every 45 minutes until
all results are completely reported.”
This
should alarm anyone hoping for fair and accurate election returns, as
Snipes’ history in Broward is checkered with numerous examples of
facilitating illegal voting practices.
In
2017, Dr. Snipes admitted
in court that
her office had allowed non-citizens and felons to vote and was
particularly vulnerable ahead of major elections.
In
2012, a Broward elections official complained about
Snipes tendency to “find” additional ballots in close elections.
Ilene Lieberman, a Broward County Commissioner and Canvassing board
member, told the Miami CBS affiliate in 2012, “When the canvassing
board recessed on Saturday we were basically told there were between
150 and 165 ballots remained to be counted, that they had to double
check, that they hadn’t been counted before. And when we came back
on Monday the report showed 963 new ballots.”
Snipes
also presided over a “phantom
voting district”
of 2000 voters who were using illegal addresses, many of them at a
UPS Store, claimed as their places of residence.
Republican
Party officials sued Snipes’ office in 2016 over the illegal
counting of 180,000 mail in ballots, she admitted that
she didn’t know the meaning of the word “canvassing.”
Snipes’ office had been opening ballots illegally, without the
legally required participation of other members of the canvasing
board.
But
Snipes hasn’t just been accused of malfeasance from Republicans.
A
2016 Democratic Congressional candidate, Tim Canova, challenged the
results of his loss to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in court, only to
have Snipes’ office illegally
destroy the ballots,
preventing additional inspection.
Medical
Marijuana backers NORML sued Snipes office
in 2016 after the constitutional initiative to decriminalize
marijuana was left off of some Broward County ballots. Lawyer John
Morgan, who endorsed Andrew Gillum in this year’s Governor’s
race, accused Snipes of doing it intentionally.
Morgain
marveled, “Broward County was our best county last time. And I
don’t believe in accidents.”
Snipes
was originally appointed to her office by Republican Governor Jeb
Bush in 2003, after her predecessor was
removed from office for
gross mismanagement. A former school administrator and principal,
Snipes won election in 2004 and has been successfully been re-elected
by Broward County voters every four years, most recently in a 2016
primary, where she received 76% of the 122,782 votes cast.
Even
that electoral win was not without controversy, however, as Snipes
office inadvertently released the results of the elections 30 minutes
before polls officially closed.
According
to Florida law,
“Any supervisor of elections, deputy supervisor of elections,
canvassing board member, election board member, or election employee
who releases the results of any election prior to the closing of the
polls in that county on election day commits a felony of the third
degree.”
Despite
the Florida Secretary of State asking
the Broward County Sherriff and
State Attorney for an investigation, like other election-related
crimes in Broward County, however, that also went unpunished
