Climate change article CENSORED in the European Union


Internet censorship in the EU


Today I got a message from someone saying they couldn’t read my article on climate change in Antarctica because it is censored in the European Union:

“ERROR It says I'm not allowed to read this cause it's recognized that I'm to access this website from a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) including the EU. I'm very sorry about this.”

"451: Unavailable due to legal reasons

We recognize you are attempting to access this website from a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) including the EU which enforces the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and therefore access cannot be granted at this time.     Interesting. A cursory search shows multiple references for “jspitz@tucson.com”, as an advertising/editorial contact at a couple of Arizona newspapers.
