This
was a special interview for me because I became aware of Paul Ehrlich
and “the Population Bomb” way back in 1971 or 72. In fact,
reading that was the very first contact with the environmental
movement. It has taken a few years to come back again but that early
exposure (when the population was less than 4 billion), has been
hugely influential.
This
was a special event for me because Prof. Ehrlich is very familiar
with (and talks about) this part of the world – Australia, New
Zealand and the Pacific islands.
Not
only that but Prof. Ehrlich puts in a plug for Marlborough wines!
A
wide-ranging conversation that fearlessly goes where most fear to
tread.
