South Africa's Zuma resigns

Jacob Zuma resigns as South Africa's president



Jacob Zuma has resigned as South Africa's president, reluctantly heeding orders from his own party, the ruling African National Congress (ANC).

His departure ends almost nine years in power, plagued by scandal.
