Ukraine SITREP 04.08.2015 by Scott

IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO LOST LIVES AT SAUR MOGILA

In these relatively peaceful Easter days of April, the public interest gradually turns toward unpatriotic issues of the catastrophic state of economy, domestic politics, the politicians in their variable states of sanity, the Poroshenkos and their antics, and the routine domestic hunt on the harmless members of the Ukraine Communist Party. The interim authorities in Kiev pay over 1.5million Euros from the IMF loan in quest to purify the “Ukrainian race.” However, this customary Ukrainian discourse interconnects with potentially disruptive Islamic forces that are brand new to the Ukrainian scene.

Guess who said, “Anything is better than a war between two super-powers on our territory.” It took some time, but the Eastern Europeans started to suspect something.

Uncomfortable with peace, the US and NATO are covertly and overtly increasing their presence in the Russian populated South regions. The US Guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham is bound for Odessa as we speak. Because, nothing says “the European security” better than a crummy American ship floating in front of the super-charged Russian Black Sea fleet. Just remember how in November 2014 the Russian Sukhoi Su -24 with the newest jamming complex paralyzed in the Black Sea the most modern American combat management system “Aegis” installed on the destroyer “USS Donald Cook.”

To top the week, Quakers discuss the declassified documents concerning Israel. Russian scientists discovered new way to cure genetic disorders. And the water rescue… Russian style.

Ukraine: Politics and Politicians

Poroshenko’s son collided with the death squad Azov in Kiev
Сын Порошенко попал в аварию в центре Киева, — СМИ

the same in English: “Azov” Battalion rear-ends Poroshenko

The vehicle of “cynical banderas” smashed into the car of a son of the self-proclaimed Cynical Bandera. Just a gentle nudge…

Poroshenko’s profits from his business ventures in 2014 increased by seven times from 2013 (before he was president).

http://www.pravda.com.ua/rus/news/2015/04/7/7064018/. This is according to Ukraine’s media and Poroshenko’s own declarations. His spokespeople are saying the difference is largely due to dividends and profits he received just before he became president.
It gets better. Poroshenko still refuses to sell Roshen, Channel 5, and his other commercial interests, despite this little inconvenient thing in the constitution of Ukraine: Constitution of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine shall not have another representative mandate, hold office in government agencies or associations of citizens, as well as perform other paid or entrepreneurial activity, or a member of management or supervisory board of a profit-making entity.”

Victor Baloga calls for Referendum on the future of Ukraine
Балога предлагает провести всеобъемлющий референдум относительно перспектив Украины

Influential Ukrainian oligarchs and a Rada Deputy, Viktor Baloga, have spoken against continuing the war against the Donbass before. Now, he calls for the all-Ukraine referendum to discuss the perspective and future of the country. He reminded everyone that it has been a year since Ukraine started the war against its own citizens, murdering people, destroying the economy and taking away even the slightest hope for better future. The deputy said that the EU won’t accept Ukraine as a member, that NATO won’t accept Ukraine as a member. The EU won’t grant a visa-free regime to Ukraine.

Let’s ask the EU how long they intend to hold a carrot in front of our nose. Let’s give the EU ultimatum, ether the visa-free regime, or … else.” “We have to decide to become the second Bosnia or Switzerland. Anything is better than a war between two super-powers on our territory.”

The Communist Part of Ukraine plans to organize the Peace March on May 1 in Kiev

Коммунистическая партия Украины планирует провести 1 мая в Киеве масштабный митинг «Марш мира»

The representative of the banned extremist organization in Russia “Right Sector” Artem Skoropadskyi reported that anti-fascist march will be disrupted. “No they rally here on May 1 will not – I promise. If they do not abandon their ideas – they just suicide. They will not pass on platform w / w station “, – he said. Representatives of the organization “Revenge” also promised to catch “red” and organize “local attacks.”

Ukraine: Economy of War

Grain corporation inflicts half a million dollars damage – SBU

A smilingly unremarkable fact reported by Ukrinform. The officials of PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine embezzled nearly USD 500 thousand from the state budget. This has been reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

Now, let’s see who owns this company. Al Ghurair Group (Arabic: مجموعة سيف الغرير) (also known as Saif Al Ghurair Group) is a Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based business group founded by the Al Ghurair family. A diverse conglomerate, it has operations in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and North America. The grandsons of Al Ghurair Group founder Ahmad Al Ghurair run the group. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair serves as group chairman and Majid Saif Al Ghurair is the group’s chief executive office.

Without even looking much we just discovered the ever increasing presence of the Saudis and UAE in Ukraine via investments and Islamic fighters.

Islamic militants in Ukraine

7th April 2015, Syria – Ukraine Mercenaries and terrorists who fought in the Syria were sent to Ukraine by USA/EU/Israel to fight in side of Kiev junta.

Videos of Chechen and other Muslim fighters, allegedly, located in the village Shirokino near port Mariupol. This video was made by a Chechen, people speak in Chechen language mostly. On the video we see just 5 mercenaries, but there could be more. Video title is “Chechen battalion of Ukrainian Armed Forces fights on side of Ukraine in Shirokino.” This video was posted on some ultra-national and pro-fascist channel by the Kiev junta supporter. According to the sources.

Second video about terrorists and mercenaries in unknown Syrian location. Date of video is November 2014, the same pro-fascist channel “Chechen in Ukraine” uploaded this video.
It’s a possibility that the members of Al-Qaeda gangs from second video, who were in Syria, were relocated to Ukraine by USA/EU/Israel service.

Facts are that the Islamists have been fighting in support of Kiev junta since spring 2014. According to some unconfirmed sources, at least one Muslim foreign brigade has been formed by the interim Kiev authorities

Both videos shows the penchant of the Muslim mercenaries for the comfortable lifestyle. They sized beauty buildings for themselves. In the first video you can see how mercenaries and terrorists “fighting” with the locals. They approach a building, that looks like a local school. With traditional screams “Allah Akbar” mercenaries fire towards positions of Novorossiya army from this important for the community building, so to attract fire onto the building. These mercenaries’ aim is full destruction of infrastructure.

The Ukraine National Guard’s training center in Kyiv region displays samples of armament “provided by the international partners.”

Among other things, armored personnel carrier 3E1, armored vehicles BARS 8 and BARS 6, military vehicles HMMWV with combat modules of Ukrainian production, anti-aircraft missile system ‘Pechora-2d’, drones ‘Fury’ and Patriot RVO 10, drone which is a part of gunfire control system ‘Suva,’ striking UAV ‘Yatagan,’ lightweight combat module ‘PBM,’ automatic grenade launcher UAG’40, 82mm caliber mortar launcher KBA 48M1, automatic grenade launcher KBA 117, 7.62mm caliber machine gun, operational portable rifle produced on the basis of AK/AKM Gopak 61, modernized machine guns АКSМ-SN and АКМS-SB, 7.62mm caliber machine gun PKMT, 50bmg caliber sniper rifle M1 07 A1 and 338lm caliber sniper rifle MRAD. Among the presented samples were also metal detectors and optical instruments, such as thermal imaging devices, night vision scopes, night sights.

Black Sea: U.S. F-15s To Participate In War Games In Bulgaria

Bulgaria: USAF F-15s to Take Part in Military Drills in Bulgaria from April 10. Up to 12 F-15s will arrive after April 10, the newswire quoted a Bulgarian defense ministry official as saying. This deployment, a part of the Pentagon’s Operation Atlantic Resolve, will take place from April 10 to June 30.

Just a reminder, about the anti-NATO, pro-Russia, pro-Novorossia march in Sofia, Bulgaria that took place in March. The Bulgarian people have taken it to the streets, protesting against the NATO military bases and the US pushing the Europe into the WWIII. To summon up this Russian article: March 15, the First International meeting in front of the Bulgarian presidential palace in support of Donbas, protesting NATO buildup n Europe. http://voicesevas.ru/news/11987-bolgariya-zona-mira.html

Why we are posting this two weeks later? Because, as confirmed by the Bulgarian Focus Information Agency, “Authorities in Bulgaria kept silent about the anti-NATO protests.” These are the termless citizens’ protects against NATO’s presence on the territory of Bulgaria and the country’s EU membership in Bulgaria. Protests are staged every Sunday and the number of the protesters is constantly increasing.

NATO started creeping occupation of the Northern Black Sea shores (Between Odessa and Molъdavia)

НАТО начинает оккупировать берег и акваторию Северного Причерноморья

NATO has no hesitation of taking military control over the Northern shores of the Black Sea. Doing exactly the move that the Putin’s government was so reluctant to accomplish in 2014. Right in the face of the Russian population of the South Ukraine in Nikolayev: up to 35 military instructors from the UK. Every couple of months the number of the British thugs will be increasing 2x. This is a camouflaged escalation of the NATO presence right next to the Crimea and Donetsk. Meanwhile, in the north part of the Black Sea we have a non-stop drills of the NATO fleet.

The Ambassador of EU in Russia says that Europe “doesn’t want to die for Ukraine.”

Even so Rascolnicova has already reported on this, I want also to reveal a hidden side of the discussion. This editorial knee-jerk reaction of the Latvian newspaper is to call the EU Ambassador’s statement as “his personal opinion” and not reflecting the opinion of the EU member nations.

Just one look on the whois records shows that the business newspaper Verslo zinios belongs to the Kauno technologijos universitetas (Kaunas university of technology) implying, by default, that at least somebody at the university do want to die for Ukraine. Who and how many? Only time will tell.

Donbas – Novorossia SITREP

One Year anniversary of Donetsk Independence from Ukraine

April 7, 2015. Today the Donetsk People’s Republic celebrates the first anniversary of its independence from Ukraine. Exactly one year ago, the Supreme Council announced the freedom of the DPR, adopting a Declaration of Sovereignty. Today, there’ll be many ceremonies and festivities all over the Republic. The biggest event will be in Donetsk. Members of the DPR Supreme Council and its successor the DPR People’s Council will gather at the Donetsk Academic Music and Drama Theatre at 16.00.

Denis Pushilin and Vladislav Deinego, authorized envoys of the DPR and LPR, stated that all subgroups of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement should start work at the same time; to postpone the launch of any of them is unacceptable.

Подгруппы Контактной группы должны приступить к работе одновременно — Пушилин и Дейнего

We don’t agree to the starting any one or another subgroups first, postponing creating the rest. We see this as a trick maneuver by Kiev to avoid addressing the Donbass economic problems and to avoid reforming the Ukrainian political system, with the DPR and LPR’s assistance,” – they said.

The podium also wants to be understood

The blockade of the speaker's podium at the Rada by Yatsenyuk's deputies who don't want a vote on a commission to investigate corruption in the government is continuing for the second day.

Putin's New Agents

Yep, it's Timoshenko and Tyagnibok. What is a surefire sign you might be an agent of Putin in the Rada? Calling for the investigation of corruption within the Yats government, which prompted the above accusation.

How to recognize a "lifestyle separatist"

Guess what. Are you criticizing mobilization? Praise LPR and DPR? Have doubts about the existence of the Ukrainian nation? Argue that Maidan might not have been such a great idea after all? Propagate Russian symbols? Spread rumors about non-existent threats to the Russian language in Ukraine? Describe the government of Ukraine as a pack of thieves? Discuss the state of the economy? If the answer to any of these questions is "yes", you too might be a lifestyle separatist. Please report to the nearest SBU office immediately.

Nikolai Azarov: EU myths and truth

Yanukovych's Prime Minister Azarov has been on a tear lately, writing articles and giving interviews promoting a better understanding of the choice that Ukraine is facing. In this installment, he points out that, if you look at the most recent EU members from Eastern Europe, their salaries are only marginally higher than (pre-Maidan's) Ukraine's, and even then a significant portion of them goes to pay taxes and utilities.

Nemtsov's girlfriend was complicit in his murder

Turns out Duritskaya had two cell phones on that night. One of them, which she threw into a trash bin on the bridge after the murder, had a tracking device that was used to track her and Nemtsov. The story speculates that Duritskaya was released by the investigators in hopes she would lead them to whoever ordered Nemtsov's killing. And, as we know, the first thing that Duritskaya did was to fly back to Kiev...

LPR is holding a large-scale exercise near Lugansk

Now that LPR has subordinated all the armed formations on its territory to its military high command, it is holding an exercise in order to fully integrate these formations into its brigade and corps structures, and to train new personnel. Ceasefire or not, everyone is expecting that the fighting will resume at some point during the spring or summer (Ukraine's default will see to that).

The weapon is the WW2-era 14.5mm PTRS semi-automatic AT rifle, the precursor of contemporary high-caliber "anti-materiel" sniper rifles. It was likely taken from a museum (!), however, the ammunition for it is easily available, since the 14.5mm KPVT machine-gun which arms Russian APCs from BTR-60 through -80 was designed to use the round originally designed for PTRS and its single-shot cousin PTRD.

Donbass battalion officially breaks ties with Semenchenko

But is sure was fun while it lasted, no? The move was prompted by the growing number of scandals in which Semenchenko is mixed up. Somebody up there must really hate him.

Caught himself in time

Anton Gerashchenko is an advisor to MVD head Avakov. In this interview with Ukrainian TV, he was relating a story of a large arms cache being found in Kharkov. What's of interest is that the list of weapons allegedly confiscated included a MON-50 directional anti-personnel mine which, Gerashchenko said was used in...and then he caught himself at the last second. The only incident of recent year in which MON-50 figured at all was the Volnovakha bus massacre, which was attributed to the DPR rocket artillery bombardment, even though evidence suggested a directional AP mine.

Poles will be Poles

Data from flight recorders of the Tu-154 airplane which crashed in Smolensk in 2010, killing Poland's president Lech Kaczynski and many other senior officials indicates the pilots were under pressure from the head of the Polish Air Force to land no matter what, in spite of the fatal weather conditions and ground control warnings not to land. Kaczynski's supporters and Polish nationalists in general still believe that Putin had Kaczynski murdered.

Import and export of most important goods in early 2015

While the volume of Russian exports in the first two months of 2015 dropped by 23% in comparison with the first two months of 2014, Russia is continuing to run a sizable trade surplus of $32 billion. The structure of Russian exports is changing. Fuel and energy are decreasing, though still constituting the majority of Russian exports (69.7% of the total value of exports). Russia is exporting more metals (nearly 11% more than last year), chemicals, machinery and equipment (33% more than last year), lumber, and  food (27% more). Russia's imports, on the other hand, decreased by 38% which more than compensates for the drop in exports. The European Union remains Russia's most important trade partner.

The jump took place about 100km from the North Pole. In addition to Russian paratroopers, troops from countries of the Collective Defense Treaty also took part.

Gerashchenko: "Putin owns the Inter TV channel"

Once again, Gerashchenko is an advisor to MVD chief Avakov, and is displeased with Inter for reporting on corruption within the MVD. However, Gerashchenko's accusation raises another important point. Considering that everyone in Ukraine is Putin's agent and everything of note is owned by Putin, how do we know Ukraine is not part of Russia already?

"Pro-Western" martial law and a card system awaits Ukraine

April 8, 2015
Sergey BELOV
Translated by Alexey  Tatu

A year after the "Revolution of National Dignity" it is becoming more and more fun to live in Ukraine. The Ukrainians joyfully swear and curse to high heaven the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk for their European reforms. However, it is not clear what is Arseniy Petrovych  exactly guilty of, because he's just an executor [or more like like an executioner] of the grandiose plans of the US-IMF on the harmonization of Ukrainian economy to the European standards. Now in Ukraine, there will be European standards and prices for gas, electricity, heating, gasoline. And wages - Ukrainian. Thanks to the recommendations of the IMF, the prices for communal services were raised for the population, and salaries and pensions were frozen at this same level until at least the end of 2015. Businesses are coming to a grinding halt, there is growing unemployment, and the people are dreaming of a new Maidan. Probably because of the fear of such a revolt, in the bowels of the presidential administration of Ukraine a bill was born, "On a legal regime of martial law".

It would be strange if such a bill did not exist, after all, on January 27 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a document in which Russia is officially declared as a country aggressor. Once there is an aggressor, and an occupied territory, then it becomes necessary to declare a state of war and then martial law. What is beautiful, is if the martial law will be introduced, then according to law, before it expires no presidential and parliamentary elections can be held in Ukraine. Thus, all those who are in power have a vested interest not only in the adoption of such a law, but also in Crimea remaining a part of Russia.

The situation in Ukraine is really complicated. People complain, because many of them after having paid for utilities, only have enough money left to purchase food. One has to be an optimist, to believe in the changing of the situation for the better in the coming years. It is probable that the Ukrainian leadership is aware of this. Therefore, in the bill there is an item on the introduction of  rationing provision of the population with basic food and non-food items. In fact, it is the introduction of a card system. That is, pensioners, public sector employees, who have frozen pensions and salaries will be able to get from the state a minimum set of products. Everyone else, such as private entrepreneurs and office workers will have to buy food at exorbitant market prices. How it will turn out, the state does not care.

The law also provides for the introduction of compulsory labor. Indeed, this is an interesting solution to all the problems here. If there are millions unemployed in the country and thousands of kilometers of destroyed roads, it is reasonable to direct the energy of the hungry masses towards a Unified Ukraine. Moreover, the mobilization of the unemployed to the labor front is quite a European practice. For example, in the 20-30's of twentieth century in Germany, this is how the "autobahns" were built. By the way, the successful implementation of the program of "autobahnization" of Germany would have been impossible if the Nazis did not disperse the trade unions, banned the strikes, reduced salaries to a minimum, and declared labor conscription. The same is now stipulated in the Ukrainian draft law, "On legal regime of martial law".

Since the prospect to work FOR FOOD (United Ukraine) will not appeal to many Ukrainians, and they would prefer to escape from the happiness that has befallen them, in the bill there is a clause on the prohibition or restrictions on choice of place of residence. To determine who lives where can be done, when the fired employees of enterprises seek benefits in the employment centers, or when people with low income will come to collect promised government subsidies from the relevant organizations. [Basically, all recorded bureaucratic actions require to identify your location - tr.] All of them will check, recalculate and decide, whether or not a person needs to be used in socially useful labor.

In addition, it implies a ban on change of residence to the citizens who are of military age. That is, in the case of the introduction of martial law, the potential defenders of a Unified Ukraine will not just ‘sit this one out’ at their grandmother’s in the village. Rather hiding from native authorities would have to be done in basements and cellars, as in the days of the German occupation. The intelligence agencies would also be allowed to check the documents of citizens to inspect their belongings, vehicles, office space, and housing. Citizens of a foreign aggressor state are supposed to be interned, that is, to be detained and placed in concentration camps. We understand that we are here talking about those with passports of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

How the whole of Ukraine will look after the introduction of martial law can only be judged by the situation in Slavyansk, which recently began a campaign to identify "domestic separatism". On the streets and on billboards began to appear leaflets with information to help identify the signs of “domestic separatism". According to information published, a"domestic separatist" is a person who disseminates information that is threatening the integrity of the state. It includes the following actions:

  • Calling for the introduction of Russian troops, or offering to surrender to Russia
  •  Promotion of Russian symbolism or concepts of a"Russian world"
  • Doubting the existence of a Ukrainian statehood
  • The desecration of the symbols of the Ukrainian state: the flag, the anthem, the coat of arms
  • The propaganda of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic
  • Protest against mobilization
  • Initiating activities that advocate the overthrow of the government and mass disobedience
  • Dissemination of lies, racism, xenophobia, antisemitism
  • Spreading panic, low moral

The leaflet notes that such actions are subject to criminal penalties ranging from 10-15 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment (article 110 of the criminal code of Ukraine). Those wishing to expose a "domestic separatist," are offered to call the appropriate authorities via a hot line and inform on their mother, or a close neighbor. Obviously, any citizen of Ukraine can go to prison for life, if they are dissatisfied with something. For example, to talk about the benefits of Ukraine's accession to the Eurasian Customs Union is impossible. It will be seen as a call to surrender to Russia. To demand for raising pensions and salaries is also impossible, because this would be regarded by the authorities as incitement to riot. Any point of view different from the one that is distributed by the ‘Ukrainian Ministry of Truth’ is called a lie.

Well, if someone believes that after the "Revolution of National Dignity" life has become unbearable, it means that he is sowing panic and distributing a decadent mood. Currently, the only delay in building the "light of the totalitarian past" is only in the problem of who will carry out the arrests of the dissatisfied and where to detain them. However, the process is underway, since with this unemployment more than a dozen divisions of the NKVD-Ukraine or special security forces can be effectively mobilized. These groups can also provide reliable protection for all persons employed in road construction or the erection of a protective fence on the border with Russia.

If someone thinks that I am exaggerating, and are not worried that an introduction of martial law will happen, than I would like to remind you of the terrible things that have happened in Ukraine over the past year. I wish people would then remember the Odessa massacre, the shootings in Mariupol, the bombing of the cities of the Donbass, hundreds of repressed and dozens of "expired by suicide" politicians and public figures. And then you can see why many Ukrainians deny the existence of "Nazism" and the brutal totalitarian regime in their country - While they come for others, while they represses the others... For now they represses the others…. [A take on a quote by German anti-fascist and theologian Martin Niemoller: "First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me." - tr]

In principle, the imposition of martial law is a standard in international practice, just before they enter this practice, the Ukrainians should at least consider deciding with whom they are fighting, why are they fighting, and for what? If they are fighting each other, and for the interests of the United States and a regime in Kiev, than this war is stupid and does not lead to anything except the destruction of the Ukrainian state. However, after the "Revolution of National Dignity" nobody is going to ask the Ukrainians what they want. The path to Europe is outlined for them in a straight line, and with unanimous cries of "Glory to Ukraine". Walking out of step, refusing to rejoice in this happiness, will land you in the category of "domestic separatists", who face at least 10 years, and up to a life in prison.
