Has Begun: Russians Are Voting

Voting
in the presidential election in Russia has begun.
The
first polling stations to open are in the Chukotka Autonomous Region
and the Kamchatka Territory. Voting takes place from 8:00 to 20:00
local time.
A
total of more than 97,000 polling stations have been opened, more
than 400 of them are abroad.
The
voting procedure will be monitored by about 1,500 international
observers from 109 countries.
Most
of the observers come from Germany, the United States, France and the
United Kingdom. The OSCE / ODIHR mission consists of about 500
people, including all the leaders of the organization, both current
and former, who have chosen 33 regions where they will observe that
the elections are fair.

people are in the running for the post of president
