Mike Ferrigan – Host
Mike
Has worked tirelessly in his spare time promoting and coordinating campaigns on social and environmental justice issues for 30 years. He has worked with numerous NGO’s on these issues in various capacities, took a leading role in Occupy Edinburgh and also in securing £30 million worth of funding for hundreds of climate change projects around Scotland.

He recently stood for election as an intergalactic penguin and trended on twitter and made the headlines worldwide in newspapers, television and on the internet.

He currently spends most of his time supporting those who have concluded that near term human extinction is an inevitability.

Kevin Hester – Co Host

Kevin
Born in to a progressive, activist home in NZ and cut his teeth on anti-nuclear and anti-apartheid causes as a youth. Went on to become an off-shore sailing skipper and have visited 50 countries, sees how his existence is indelibly linked to our dying oceans.

Benjamin The Donkey   Gallows Humour Limericks

Benjamin the Donkey (named after the old curmudgeon in Orwell’s “Animal Farm”) is an old curmudgeon who posts limericks at “Nature Bats Last” and “Near Term Human Extinction Support Group.” His book “Limericks of Doom” covers global warming, peak oil, nuclear meltdown, human nature, fate, and the Sixth Great Extinction. He is retired, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is interested in the psychology of doom.

Debba Kale Earnshaw – NTHE news article of the week and Debba’s Quotes

Debbs
As a childfree child of the Sixties, I’ve been a back-to-the-lander and meditation teacher, a war protester, and local environmental activist. I spent a few years in rock bands, but I mainly now content myself with vegan cooking and hiking the moors and cloughs of Yorkshire. And enjoying the good life for as long as we have left, and doing stuff like this. Along with the boys and the cat. We take it as it comes, yeah?

Gene Gibson – Gene’s Music Gems

Gene
As a recovering economist I have been aware of Peak Oil for close to two decades after having  taken courses during graduate school on the economics of non-renewable resources. I was very active in doom prepper movement and forums and 10 years ago and moved to Central PA to build my doomstead to ride out the coming economic storm caused by peak oil. After reading the initial articles about global warming I read further and started to follow the forecasts and projections and had a holy shit moment that Near Term Human Extinction along with the extinction all life on this planet is a foregone conclusion. I am in the acceptance stage of grief and live each day to the fullest and surround myself with close fiends and family

Harry Gibbs – Extreme Weather Update

Harry
Harry was born in London in 1973 and now lives in rural East Sussex. A bout of nihilism in 2012 caused him to start researching climate change and peak oil in detail. He was alarmed to discover that popular sentiment was hopelessly out of step with reality. Not only was climate change real but it had already gained a terrible and irreversible momentum. Likewise our growth-dependent financial systems were demonstrably stressed by ever-worsening energy constraints. Since then he has been watching the signs and documenting the progress of what will, unfortunately, be the most lethal and devastating chapter in human history.

Keith D Johnson – Permaculture Practice

Keith
Keith has been a commercial landscaper, stonemason, and organic gardener since 1976. He’s been teaching Permaculture since ’95 He’s taught or trained with Bill Mollison, Larry Santoyo, Tom Ward, Penny Livingston, Peter Bane, Chuck Marsh, Star Hawk, and Jerome Пsentowski.

Keith participates in a number of local activism projects including the editorial guild of the Permaculture Activist Magazine, contributor to Bloomington’s Peak Oil Task Force, member of the Bloomington Permaculture Guild, member of the Bloomington Food Policy Council and the Trillium Horticultural Park Project.

Roblyn Crawford – 7 Minutes In Heaven

Roblyn
7 Minutes In Heaven, features apocalyptic anthems. Your host Sunshine has been introducing radio audiences to paradigm shifting music since 1978.

  1. How many of these people associated with this radio program are vegan? "A person who is vegan will save 1,100 gallons of water, 20 pounds CO2 equivalent, 30 square feet of forested land, 45 pounds of grain and one sentient animal’s life1 every day."
