Republican candidate Ron Paul now considered a front-runner

And yet they still can't bear to mention his name in the media.  No-one here in New Zealand has heard of Ron Paul - any surprise?

According to a recent poll, Texas congressman Ron Paul has emerged as a front-runner in the Republican nomination process.

A recent poll of Iowan voters conducted for Bloomberg showed that “Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich are in a dead heat as the top choices for Iowans likely to attend the Jan. 3 Republican presidential caucuses.” The poll found that Cain continues to lead the pack with twenty percent support, followed closely by Paul at nineteen percent. Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are close behind with eighteen and seventeen percent support respectively.

  1. Shame Ron Paul can't realise that the Occupy lot, that he considers a rabble of bludgers are actually his allies, and that the Tea Party lot that have "adopted" him are actually a gang of tossers!

  2. Couldn't agree more. I also find some his libertarian and ultra conservative ideas a bit challenging. But I can't fault him for giving a consistent message. He did seem to give some grdging recognition to the OWS recently.
