"A huge band of moisture around the equator

These are observations, not scientific findings.

From Facebook:

I've noticed over the past few years by observing satellite pictures of earth, that since the N polar vortex has dissipated… There seems to be a huge band of moisture around the equator…?”

Each degree of warming adds 7 percent of moisture in the atmosphere.

What has happened to the northern Jet Stream?

Pacific and North Atlantic storms tend to look lethargic and disjointed! Seems with the warm air isn't having to struggle to get to the arctic.. Just going around one of the many cyclone as there are so many!... Because of a blocking high in the Arctic, about ten lows get backed up in one spot near britan and end up in their own mini circuation pattern
