Texan border officials arrested a group of 116 migrants attempting to illegally cross the American border by swimming through the Rio Grande. The group consisted of families with children, pouring in from Angola, Cameroon, Congo and other African nations.

Since October, Del Rio sector border officials have encountered over 182 large groups, all numbering more than a 100, but this was the first big group to be arrested in its entirety. As of now, the migrants are still being processed by the agency, meanwhile, the government holding cells are severely overcrowded. At one point in May, a cell designed for 35 people had to contain 155.

Borderless

I suggest watching "Borderless" by Lauren Southern. it is far more fair and balanced than I ever thought possible. Southern highlights the plight of the migrants and focuses on the acts of people smugglers, governments and NGO's.
