A curious incident happened the other day with NATO troops - five intelligence officers at the end of maneuvers in the forests of Lithuania simply disappeared. They were declared missing and rushed to search with dogs. A helicopter was hoisted into the sky on alert, reports LRT. It is noted that the exercises themselves were held on February 4-6.

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT reported that NATO fighters have been reported missing. The fact is that the soldiers could not be found after the end of the exercises.

A spokesman for the Lithuanian military, Laimis Bratikas, said that during the final exam for reconnaissance in central Lithuania, five soldiers, including conscripts from the емemaitija brigade, were declared missing after they were unable to arrive at a predetermined location.

The military leadership decided to begin the search for the military, “suspecting that something unplanned had happened,” Bratikas explained.

In their turn, the missing, believing that the maneuvers were still ongoing, avoided contact for another 24 hours and did not allow themselves to be found. As a result, the command rated their survival as exemplary.

However, the question remains of how well the relationship between the units works in NATO if the leadership of the exercises lost their servicemen not according to plan.
