Trump is pulling the U.S. from Paris Agreement
I have been living with the dilemma about what entails Right Effort and the Paris Agreemment (or any responce to it) is not it.
What we have here is a left liberal media that is, in one chorus, baying for Trump's blood and basically asking for the curtains to be drawn - “let's pretend we're still moving”.
A mixture of obfusication, lies and psychological denial among those who are supposed to be informing the public.
On the other end of the spectrum we have the looney Rght crowing about a “stake driven through the heart of globalism and the “climate change hoax”
Fortunately we have a tiny minority of people aware of the true state of affairs and can look the inpalatable truth in the eye. Perhaps the best spokesperson for this fact-based position is, of course Prof.Guy McPherson.
First, the "official" position -
What happens now that Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris agreement?
Here’s how the United States’ exit will likely play out.
President
Trump announced his decision to withdraw the United States from the
Paris Agreement on climate change Thursday afternoon. He described
the move as a reassertion of American sovereignty.
Trump,
who has dismissed
climate change as a hoax,
announced that he will start the process of removing the U.S. from
the international climate accord intended to limit the increase in
average global temperature to below 2°C.
“The
United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord, but begin
negotiations to reenter either the Paris accord or an entirely new
transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its
businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers — so we’re
getting out,” he announced to members of his Cabinet and Congress
at the White House Rose Garden.
Trump
touted the decision as yet another example of carrying out his
campaign promises. He said the U.S. will start negotiating with other
countries to attempt to broker a deal that he considers fair.
He claimed the Paris Agreement has turned the U.S. into a laughingstock, but promised leaders of other countries won’t laugh at America anymore.
“I
was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” he
said to applause.
Trump
criticized the climate accord as an example of an agreement that
Washington enters that disadvantages the American people.
Enough to drive one insane.
But the following is the reality and only a tiny minority can see it.
