This is a sign of the insane times we are living in. A friend of mine, Robert Atack of www.oilcrash.com penned a letter to his local newspapers, something he was willing to pay $391 for.
They turned him down!

protective measures against
Coronavirus
Caronavirus will be in New Zealand now. There are unconfirmed reports of the first case being reported from Queenstown. It has up to a 14 day incubation period, but is contagious from day 1.
There isn't much we can do, except take a few personal precautions.
Local and national bureaucrats will be of little help. Basically, we are on our own.
Avoid crowds and close contact with people. Stay about a meter away from others.
They may have run out of N95-masks by now, If they haven’t, wear one and cover your eyes with goggles or large glasses because this virus also spreads through contact with the eyes.
Wash your hands regularly, and don't touch your face when out.
As there will be food shortages, we all need to stockpile at least 3 months worth. We could have a few months yet, so we don't need to panic, just gradually build up a supply.
Help your friends and neighbors.
The more food and resources we have in the community, the less panic we will see later.
Regards Robert Atack
I've just been into the local Levin newspaper - Horowhenua Chronicle
ReplyDeleteI paid for a half-page ad trying to inform my community of what I think would be precautionary actions to take, in the light of what is unfolding globally
But the editor - Janine Baalbergen refused to publish it
I also rang the Horowhenua council, to speak to the mayor, his sectary told me to ring the health department, basically "fuck off"
So yeah WE ARE ON OUR OWN
This was the final draft ..... CORONAVIRUS
ReplyDelete2019 - nCoV
This is just a few thoughts I wanted to share with Levin
