Recognising necessity

Just coming through the wires now

Statement from David Cameron

From the Guardian -

"David Cameron, the British prime minister, has said that he hopes Western countries will be able to agree with Russia a joint strategy to combat Islamic State in Syria.

In an interview on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, Cameron said that Britain, France and America might have to “compromise” with Russia, presumably on the future of President Assad, to secure a deal.

He also said that he would consider speeding up the introduction of the investigatory powers bill in the light of the Paris attacks (the Home Office ruled this out yesterday).

He also said that he would be willing to take his children to tomorrow’s England vs France football match in London tomorrow. "
