Everyone In the CA Central Valley Needs to Hear This

The Oroville Dam spillway is damaged beyond repair

This is a photograph of damage in 2017

There will always be people who will say that this is "fear porn".

To those people I would say "discretion is the better part of valour". What have people to lose from heeding this?  Taking action before disaster might just save lives.

PLEASE LISTEN.

There is also this:

NOT GOOD!!

Water is going to back up QUICKLY ... and could lead to some major dam issues if they can't start releasing again:

from link:

"...The operators of Lake Oroville dam planned to increase the release of water at the dam to 70,000 cubic feet per second to make room in the lake for runoff from the current storm.

The
peak release began around noon Tuesday. That’s when witnesses said they began to see chunks of concrete coming off the spillway..."

To put that into perspective the NORMAL release that the Hoover Dam does into the Grand Canyon is 12,500 cubic feet per second!!

This is being actively censored.

The Oroville Dam Watch Group was served with a "cease and desist notice" from a court the other day.

No photo description available.

It is hard to imagine why the authorities would go to such lengths to suppress discussion of this unless there was something to the story.

These are the current lake levels.

The way I see it is that the spillway is inoperable and they are using other methods to try (in vain) to release water from the lake. They can never keep up with the rain, the snow melt and water from resevoirs upstream.

I believe, on the basis of the information I have at my hands, that this is a disaster in the making. The best action would be to get out of that. Aside of that one can only pray for a miracle.

If you think this is just a few "conspiracy theorists" then

listen to Bob Bea.

  2. Earth filled dam, leaking water = no problem?
    Are they CRAZY!
    Water can quickly erode soil!
Why wasn't there CONCRETE & ROCK under that spillway? Soil has very little strength for support under a spillway, no wonder it failed!
I am so very glad I don't live anywhere near Sacramento or Oroville, if that dam fails, it's going to wipe out a lot of communities.

Those poor folks need to keep a close eye on that dam & be prepared to evacuate.
