Was a missile with a nuke component used in Beirut and in Syria

An examination of the

evidence for and against the

use of a missile with a nuclear

component in the Beirut

attack and elsewhere

An article appeared in Voltaire Net, written by Thierry Meyssan in which he says that a missile with a tactical nuclear component was used to attack Beirut on 4 August and that this has been tested and used elsewhere, in Iran and Syria.

It is not known what weapon was used. However, it has already been tested in Syria since January 2020. It is a missile with a tactical nuclear component in its warhead that causes a smoke mushroom characteristic of nuclear weapons. It is obviously not an atomic bomb in the strategic sense.

The weapon was tested in Syria on a plain in the countryside and then in the Persian Gulf on the water against Iranian military vessels. This is the first time it has been used in an urban environment, in a particular environment that made the air blast and vibrations reflect off the water and the mountains. Far from destroying only the port of Beirut, it killed about a hundred people, injured at least 5,000 others, and largely destroyed the eastern part of the city (the western part was largely protected by the grain silo).

I decided to try and check this out. When I searched (with DuckDuckGo, not Google) I found that all reference to a nuclear attack had been EXPUNGED from the internet.

The press is trying its best to avoid advancing ideas such as it was Israel that did it, as with this article from Snopes.

I managed to track down the article from the notorious Your NewsWire in this archive.

Israel Drops Tactical Nuclear Bomb On Syria

YourNewsWire,

30 April, 2018

An Israeli airplane in Syria has dropped the first nuclear bomb deployed in armed conflict since the US dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, according to local reports.

The nuclear blast targeted an ammunitions depot in Hama, Syria and was so powerful it caused a 2.6 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Taqsees, Hama, Syria at 10:40 pm local time Sunday, at the same time Syrian TV reported several explosions in the same area.

Moments later, videos of a massive set of explosions, reportedly at a Syrian military base at Jabal al-Bukhut 47, some 10 miles south-east of Hama, began to appear on social media

Another video of the huge explosion at 46 Brigade arms depot in #Hama, rumours of Israeli Strikes, could be sabotage as well. pic.twitter.com/ZnmYUTq4W7

— Danny Makki (@Dannymakkisyria) April 29, 2018

An accurate assessment of the damage caused has so far been impossible due to a huge cloud of impenetrable dust covering the target. Hama is one of the chief Iranian supply depots for the Syrian army in their eight-year battle against insurgent jihadi groups attempting to ouster President Bashar al-Assad and seize control of Syria.

One report cited a hostile strike by the Israeli air force that targeted an ammunition depot in the Hama area. The depot is used mostly by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and is believed to house an underground Iranian rockets base.

Reports from Israel indicate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers are holding an emergency cabinet meeting at the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv following the alleged Israeli airstrike on the underground Iranian rockets depot in Syria.

The news from Syria has sparked renewed fears in the region that the “Syrian powder keg” could explode and spill into surrounding countries, engulfing the region in a world war involving all of the major global powers.

On searching my own archives I found this item from Hal Turner from the time.

BREAKING NEWS: MASSIVE

EXPLOSION HITS IRANIAN BASE IN

SYRIA - FEARS ISRAEL USED

TACTICAL NUKE -- REGISTERED AS

M2.6 "EARTHQUAKE"

About one hour fifteen minutes ago, at around 3:40 PM Eastern US time, an utterly MASSIVE explosion took place at an Iranian base inside Syria. The photo above was taken from 5 kilometers (about 3 MILES) away, and well-into the explosion which "seemed to linger." There are now widespread BUT UNCORROBORATED rumors Israel used a Tactical Nuclear Bomb against the Iranian base.

The explosion was so intense, it registered as an EARTHQUAKE with the The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which is now reporting a Magnitude 2.6 earthquake at that site! (Link)

This is a very-fast-developing story. Updates within minutes. Check back. . .

UPDATE 5:15 PM EDT --

The precise location of the blast:

VIDEO -- 5:30 PM EDT --

The video below lasts only a few seconds. The cameraman told me he saw the "bright, white flash" then fumbled to get his camera started . . . capturing the rising blast AFTER the "flash." The cameraman also told me directly that when he started to see what looked like a "Mushroom cloud" rising up as the initial flames dissipated, he shut the camera off and ran like hell. This video was taken from about 5 kilometers (3.5 miles) away . . . that's how large the explosion was.

This is what Steven be-Noon was saying at the time. He says it was a

bunker buster bomb but I think that other research indicates It might

have ben something more.

This article from the Jerusalem Post manages to talk about all options - the rebels, the Russians - anybody except Israel.

This article was from Sputnik and addressed Netanyahu's

claims about Iran's nuclear programme.

Political analyst Marwa Osman is cited in the article

"Does he really think that with such a presentation he'll be able to wage war against Iran or against Iranian presence in Syria," Osman wondered. "Netanyahu — Israel — has been attacking Syria nonstop for the past six years, if not for the past seven years. But let's say, with documented evidence, six years, and lately, last night at 10 p.m., with new weaponry," Osman said.

Specifically, she says that the weapons used in the attack on the 47th Brigade of the Syrian Arab Army, a unit made up of Iranian forces and forces from Hezbollah, were similar to either depleted uranium or an "enhanced nuclear weapon."

THE Syrian army is reporting new enemy aggression, with missiles targeting missile bases in the north of the country.

Syria is being exposed to a new aggression with some military bases in rural Hama and Aleppo hit with enemy rockets,” a Syrian army source is reported by state-run media as saying.

Military commentators and Middle East analysts are reporting an attack appears to have been made on the headquarters of the Iran-backed Shiite militia Brigade 47 near the village of Maarin al-Jabal, just south of Hama city. It is said to be used as a recruitment and training facility.

It was also believed to house a weapons depot, which would account for the intensity of the blast.

A second explosion has been reported at the Iranian-backed Brigade 80 headquarters situated north of Aleppo city.

Media outlets with connections to the Syrian regime are claiming 38 soldiers have been killed and 57 injured in the attacks.

The cause of the blasts remains unclear. Reports of Israeli involvement remain speculation, while some Syrian Democratic Force rebels have claimed responsibility.

Syrian state media reported that authorities were working to “determine the cause of the explosions.”

This all happened about the same time as Israel was claiming it had information about Iran's nuclear programme.

We’ve shared this material with the United States, and the United States can vouch for its authenticity. We will also share it with other countries, and we’ll share it with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Various explanations have been found, including that this was the "Mother of all Bombs" (MOAB), but this article says the Beirut bomb was many times more powerful than MOAB.

The blast registered as a magnitude 3.3 earthquake, and the effects of the explosion were felt miles away from the blast site. Experts told Insider the blast most likely had an explosive yield of several hundred tons of TNT equivalent.

Jeffrey Lewis, a nuclear and conventional weapons expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California, estimated the yield to be “between 200 and 500 tons, looking at blast damage, the shockwave, seismic signals, and the size of the crater.”

That much explosive power is at least nearly twenty times greater than that of the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (nicknamed the “Mother of All Bombs”), which has a blast yield of about 11 tons and is the most powerful nonnuclear weapon in the US arsenal.

Here is the MOAB, first used in 2017 in Afghanistan.

The weapon was first known to be used in combat in April 2017 against the Islamic State in Afghanistan.

The explosion in Beirut was so powerful that some observers feared the city had experienced a nuclear detonation of some sort, a fear exacerbated by the mushroom cloud towering over the blast site after the explosion.

Here is the Mother of All Bombs (MOAB), used in Afghanistan

Returning to the Beirut attack this article shows the press stumbling over itself to explain why the attack was NOT a nuclear explosion.

The explosion did trigger a powerful blast wave that apparently shattered windows across Beirut, and it was briefly visible as an expanding, shell-like cloud – something often seen in historical footage of nuclear detonations. But Pfeiffer noted such blast-wave clouds, known to weapons researchers as Wilson clouds, are made when humid air gets compressed and causes the water in it to condense. In other words: They aren’t unique to nuclear bombs.

A back-of-the-envelope calculation reshared on Twitter by Narang estimates the blast was equivalent to about 240 tons of TNT, or about 10 times what the US military’s “mother of all bombs” is capable of unleashing. By contrast, the Little Boy atomic bomb that the US dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945 was about 1,000 times as powerful.

As far as I can see no one is saying that this was a nuclear bomb (although sometimes the definitions can be a bit loose).

Meyssan, for example says it was a missile with a tactical nuclear component.

If you use a straw man argument (along with the "conspiracy theory" label) you can easily say that was not it.

For example, comparing the cloud produced in this explosion from the 1960's (!!!).

Really, has the technology not changed since then?!

I am no expert in things nuclear or even military so I have to use other methods in deciding who is speaking the truth.

For now, I will go with the people from Veterans Today who, it seems to me, are making a pretty good job at explaining it.

Veterans Today received this from an intelligence source who knows exactly how the Beirut nuclear attack was done. What he also knows is that Israel has planned this attack in advance, years in advance and anyone who says Israel doesn’t plan that far ahead can’t spell “Mossad.” The shocking truth about the nuclear attack on Beirut.

AN = Ammonium Nitrate
NK = Nuclear Weapon

How do you know that there was in fact that barge load quantity of-AN- in the port, or a single bag of it. There was none, Just the NK that is all. The rest is fake well orchestrated ploy.

Have anyone bothered to find that supposed factory in Georgia (Initially it was reported Moldova, but when SSNPS found no source for it, they found one in Georgia). Did anyone asked the Georgian factory if they really did sell that quantity, did the Lebanese idiots test one bag of it to determine what is the real content and consistency, or they just relied on Shipping cargo manifesto papers.

When you import and Export there are LC’s and other counter instruments (SGS inspection docs which did not exist for this shipment/impossible) to provide assurance for shipper that he will get paid and for buyers to receive goods which will show every detail of the transaction and the financial middleman handling the total invoice FOB.

Anyone looked at these docs to see who is the real buyer and how he paid for it in fact. This supposed buyer already changed 3 times in 4 days and no one thought of it as just Israeli front company that is in fact fictitious.

There is no problem of its non existence because it was not the intended recipient of the AN shipment in the first place, it was through using route diversion tactic intended for Beiru(t) delivery.

I mean wanna cut this short. It is all fake, and now, today, they are repeating it in port of Aden, smart port authority immediately denied the media reports.

Here is how either the Mossad or CIA orchestrated the scam.

  • they shipped something like dirt or rocks in bags that are falsely labeled AN

  • they used a Russian/Israeli operative (so called Russian Businessman in Cypress) to buy a “ready to salvage” ship for nickles and dimes

  • they loaded the bogus content on and made false shipping papers with a fake African buyer that no one even checked if it exist or did the purchase in fact, or why he abandoned the 2 + millions Dollars of goods he paid for it. etc..etc.

  • afterward, they changed rout of ship from Istanbul to Greece, to Beirut

  • they brought a bunch of road paving heavy wheels and cracked the deck of the ship and then paid off a bunch of Lebanese agents/officials at the port and unloaded the falsely labeled sandbags on shore,

  • then they sunk the ship and waited for 2 days before the sham court decision came out to strengthen their alibi and put blame on the Hezbollah.

They surely did not expect the court decision to take that long, but they made sure the Israeli/American agents at the port are compliant with keeping that dirt stored for years at great cost for the port.

It was all a cover for the-N- drop, that is all.

If you are engaged in IM/EX business which I did for 2 decades from China, India and South America and Middle East, you will know how silly the Lebanese are. Ports charges storage by the sq2 ft a hefty price, specially in covered hanger.

You telling me entire #12 was for 6 years (that too is changed 3 times) granted free to store the dirt bags. Never liquidated at custom auction at year end. What a joke. Someone got paid to cover up the shipment until it was needed for the right time, a day or 2 before the court poop its worthless and hoaxed decision.

If this was in fact AN with the high consistency, the “Hizb” or dozens of militias and smuggling gangs would have raided it the first couple of month in storage. Have 17 cousins that would have done that. They know every cranny of every port in “Leb” and whats in it, it will be the following week passing through Daboussieh to “Syr” and get premium price for it.

Israel agents are continually at the port, in fact they run the port, everyone knows that. Are you to believe that they don’t check and audit shipping manifestos and track it it all the way from source port for almost every Middle East country…common. One day I will have time to publish my horror experiences with the Israeli on this shipments tracking issue.

Fake Georgian Source, Fake Buyer, Fake salvage ship, fake content for cover story that was delayed to put to use because of a court decision. The only real deal is one heck of “NK” and I would not rule out US action here along with the Israeli.”

Here is a history and an explanation of nuclear weapons that is quite different from what we are TOLD to believe.

In the minds of most people, a nuclear weapon is a large device carried on the tip of an ICBM or carried in the belly of a huge bomber aircraft that when deployed produces a colossal explosion and spectacular mushroom cloud just like all those terrifying 1950s newsreels .

However, this is no longer the case – nuclear weapon design is several generations in advance of the bulky devices of the Cold War and today, a wide variety of types of nuclear weapon exist and they come in all sizes from the smallest ‘micro nukes’ with yields measuring in hundreds of tonnes of TNT equivalent up to truly monstrous two and three stage bombs with yields of many millions of tonnes of TNT (megatonnes)....

The megatonne class bombs have never been deployed in anger; if they had, there would be no possible way to keep it a secret – the devastation and fallout would be on such a grand scale as to be impossible to hide. However, the sub-kilotonne mini and micro nukes have been used many times, both in false flag ‘terrorist’ attacks like 9-11 and OK City  and in military conflicts in countries such as Iraq, Syria and Yemen.

The small yield and limited destruction of these mini and micro nukes means it is possible to keep their use secret; especially when the media are compliant and willfully ignore any and all instances of their use. The willingness of several players to use these diabolical weapons should send a chill down the spine of every sensible person – we are living in a new nuclear age far more dangerous and deadly than the previous Cold War era with it’s balance of nuclear power held in check by the terrifying concept of Mutually Assured Destruction.
