The People vs. the Washington Swamp: Fireworks on a cold day in Washington DC

I had almost no sleep last night, partially because the unseasonably cold weather has swung to unseasonable hot and I am unaccustomed.

However, I caught some of Trump's speech.  Here are some highlights.

At the end of the speech he asked the (at least) half-million crowd to march with him to the Capitol.

BREAKING: Patriots Have

Stormed the Capitol Building

— Masses Breaching Federal

Barriers — Cops Losing

Control (VIDEOS)

Gateway Pundit,

6 January, 2021

Masses of patriots have stormed the Capitol Building after Vice President Mike Pence announced that he will not be standing with President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Reporters on the scene say that “thousands” of people have breached the barriers and that there is currently no cellphone service at the building.

“Trump supporters have breached the Capitol building, tearing down 4 layers of security fencing and are attempting to occupy the building — fighting federal police who are overrun This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Thousands, police can’t stop them, Blaze reporter Elijah Schaffer tweeted.

“Patriots have stormed the Capitol building ground and are breaching federal barriers and police in the masses. No cell service but video coming. Non lethal force in effect. Full unlawful assembly in display. Never seen anything like this. Insane. Thousands occupying,” Schaffer said.

I am posting this although I cannot find any confirmation of this anywhere.  It must be treated with caution although as a general rule I am finding media (even 'alternative' media) pretty useless.

Arizona and Wisconsin

Legislatures to RECAST

Electors for Trump

Hal Turner,

21 January, 2021

The ongoing debacle of the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election took a dramatic turn overnight.

The Legislatures of both Arizona and Wisconsin are moving to decertify the Biden Electors due to rampant election fraud, and recast their state Electors to vote for Trump!

That's a good thing, too, because, as seen in the photo above (and video below) HUNDREDS-OF-THOUSANDS of Americans have already arrived in Washington DC to confront this election fiasco; many of them are armed with guns if a confrontation with government is required to correct things.

One might think the election is over because the Electors cast their ballots back in December and Congress is set to accept those votes today, but such thoughts would be incorrect.

The only date that matters is January 20, when President Trump's present term of office expires.  As long as State Legislatures move prior to that date, nothing else matters Constitutionally.

Similar efforts to decertify Electors are moving in Pennsylvania and Nevada.

As it stands now, Joe Biden is said to have won 306 Electoral votes, far past the 270 needed to become President.

Of Biden's Electors, the following states have the following quantities of Electors:

Arizona  11

Wisconsin 10

Pennsylvania 20

Nevada 6

Together, those states above total 47 Electoral Votes.

If JUST those states recast their Electors, then Biden's vote count drops to 265 and Trumps vote count rises from its present 232 to 279 . . .  and Trump wins re-election.

ARIZONA

The Arizona state legislature has already pre-filed a Bill necessary to accomplish this task (Direct Link)   The Bill reads as follows:

REFERENCE TITLE: appointment of presidential electors

State of Arizona

Senate

Fifty-fifth Legislature

First Regular Session

2021

SCR 1002

Introduced by

Senator Townsend

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

APPOINTING PRESIDENTIAL ELECTORS FOR THE 2020 ELECTION.

(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)

Whereas, it is the constitutional and legal obligation of the Legislature of the State of Arizona to ensure that the state's presidential electors truly represent the will of the voters of Arizona; and

Whereas, pursuant to the direction of Congress as set forth in United States Code title 3, section 1 as authorized by article II, section 1, clause 4 of the Constitution of the United States, and state law adopted pursuant thereto, Arizona conducted an election for presidential electors on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November 2020—that is, on November 3, 2020; and

Whereas, that election was marred by irregularities so significant as to render it highly doubtful whether the certified results accurately represent the will of the voters; and

Whereas, Congress has further directed in United States Code title 3, section 2 that when a state "has held an election for the purpose of choosing electors, and has failed to make a choice on the day prescribed by law, the electors may be appointed on a subsequent day in such manner as the legislature of such State may direct"; and

Whereas, that provision implicitly recognizes that article II, section 1, clause 2 of the United States Constitution grants to each state legislature, with stated limitations, the sole authority to prescribe the manner of appointing electors for that state; and

Whereas, the United States Supreme Court and other courts have explained that when a state legislature directs the manner of appointing electors, it does so pursuant to a grant of authority from the United States Constitution rather than by reason of any state constitutional or other legal provision, that this authority may be exercised by the legislature alone without other aspects of the normal lawmaking process, and that the state legislature's authority over the appointment of presidential electors is plenary and may be resumed at any time; and

Whereas, because United States Code title 3, section 7 mandates that all presidential electors vote for President and Vice President of the United States on December 14, 2020, it is impossible to pursue this Legislature's preferred course of action, which would be for Arizona's voters to participate in a new, fair and free presidential election before that date; and

Whereas, in view of the facts heretofore recited, the Legislature is required to exercise its best judgment as to which slate of electors the voters prefer.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring:

That the following individuals be and are hereby appointed presidential electors for the State of Arizona for the presidential election of 2020, any other certification or provision of law notwithstanding:

1.  Tyler Bowyer.

2.  Nancy Cottle.

3.  Jake Hoffman.

4.  Anthony Kern.

5.  Jim Lamon.

6.  Robert Montgomery.

7.  Sam Moorhead.

8.  Loraine Pellegrino.

9.  Greg Safsten.

10.  Kelli Ward.

11.  Mike Ward.

WISCONSIN

The state of Wisconsin has reportedly announced that it will introduce a resolution on Thursday morning to decertify the state’s electoral college votes and award them to President Trump.

The Resolution is already filed and will be acted upon by the Wisconsin state legislature this Thursday.   It reads as follows:

This is a gigantic development in the ongoing cluster-*uck which has been the November 3 election.

More information is coming out almost every day showing the rampant fraud, and brazen criminality used to steal the Election, by dishonest Democrat henchmen.

Americans will get to see, this month, whether the United States of America remains a nation of laws, or if we have become a Banana Republic.

Meanwhile, in the Swamp

Lodge Official Objections To

Electoral Vote; McConnell

Rebukes Trump

Zero Hedge,

Update (1415ET): Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has officially thrown Trump under the bus, saying on a Wednesday statement that the election wasn't stolen, and that overruling voters would 'damage the republic forever.'

McConnell added that we can't 'keep drifting apart into separate tribes,' implying that Trump supporters should take their medicine and accept the results of the election.

Update (1345ET): As anticipated, Republican lawmakers have begun objecting to the Electoral College vote count, with Rep.
