New Zealand has a "normal" autumn....what the hell is that?

A “typical autumn”?!!

I haven’t seen a typical anything for along, long time.

The last time we had a “normal” winter with frosts was 15 years ago, in 2003!

Meanwhile the snowdrops in our garden are in flower and it’s not even winter yet.

Who ever would have though that on top of everything else they would LIE ABOUT THE WEATHER.

And yet that is what they are doing.

Cyclone Ann forms in the Coral Sea, while NZ has a ‘typical’ Autumn week ahead (13/05/19)

It's not a weather forecast but it is the real deal - temperatures 5 degrees C above the average MAXIMUM

Last but not least.

For the nth year we have plants growing out of season.

Normally, we might see the spectacle of snowdrops coming into flower in winter.

It is still mid-autumn!!
