Population overshoot

DEEP, DARK, DISTURBING, and more effective than any short film I have ever seen.

Three things are killing the human race... as partners. All are creations from the ID, the unacknowledged shadows of human consciousness.

  • Exponential growth and resource consumption in a closed environment
  • Global Warming/Climate Collapse
  • Nuclear Power

Discussing anything else is chasing a Red Herring (a species which is not yet extinct). Asking us to discuss anything less is protecting the shadow, serving the destroyer. Every other lesser issue that is offered is a distraction, a waste of time, and a servant of a meme which is ending and which intends to take every living thing with it.

Thank You For Not Breeding

A short film by Nina Paley that explores the topic of human population growth and how it is affecting life on the planet. Using humor and some great clips featuring Les Knight of VHEMT.org, and Chris Korda of the Church of Euthanasia, Paley brings light to a topic that gets little attention in the traditional media..

Finally a quote from Viktor Frankl:

We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

--- Viktor Frankl (1905-1997)
