Typhoon
Francisco eyes Japan Sat. AM Update
Typhoon
Francisco is set to become one of the strongest storms on the face of
the earth during 2013. The good news is that the max intensity of
this rapidly developing storm system will likely be well over open
ocean and away from any land areas. Unless you are unfortunate
shipper travelling near this storm most people should be ok through
the weekend. It is by next week where things start to get
interesting. Francisco is forecasted to weaken as it encounters an
increase in vertical wind shear east of the southern Japanese
islands. But it still could impact Okinawa and the Amami islands and
likely Western Japan as a Typhoon.
