Moderate quake off Japan


5.5 Earthquake strikes off Japan’s eastern coast





A 5.5 magnitude earthquake has struck off the east coast of Japan he US Geological Survey reported. No tsunami warning was issued after the quake which happened about 324 kilometers east of the town of Namie at a depth of 26 kilometers. In 2011 more than 18,000 people died after an earthquake and tsunami struck Japan and damaged Fukushima nuclear plant in the world’s worst atomic disaster for 25 years.
